Chapter 11
At the multinational company exchange meeting one month later, I saw the confident Geovanni, who had already obtained a certificate with Marilyn, and was chatting with her everywhere.
Warren wore an and had lost quite a bit of weight.

When he saw me, his eyes lit up again, but when he saw Myla by my side, who looked like a little. princess, and saw us being intimate, his eyes dimmed slightly.
Geovanni approached me, with a friendly smile on his face. “Long time no see, Abby. I heard that your family, the Stanley family, wants to talk business with Mr. Shaun. I can introduce you, as I hit it off with Mr. Shaun the other day.”
Seeing his triumphant look, I couldn’t help but laugh.
At this moment, a deep and pleasant voice sounded beside me. I turned my head and saw a man. wearing a well–fitted suit, with obsidian cufflinks on his sleeves.
The person came and said with a smile, “Long time no see, Abby.” I looked at his familiar features, racked my brain to remember, and finally recalled, “Dillon Cordova! You came back to the country!” Dillon, seeing that I finally remembered him, had an even deeper smile on his face.
As Geovanni saw us talking happily, a hint of jealousy flashed across his face.
Even though we got divorced, he still treated me as his possession and regarded everything belonging to the Stanley family as his own, not allowing anyone to covet it.
I saw the jealous look on his face and kindly reminded him, “Geovanni, let me introduce you, this is
Dillon, he is called Shaun abroad, the very Mr. Shaun you instantly connected with, you can verify it
yourself.”
Geovanni’s face turned dark all of a sudden. After a moment of silence, he grabbed Marilyn and left.
I watched as he walked away, a smile playing at the corners of my mouth.
Speaking of which, I hadn’t yet sent their wedding gift to him and Marilyn.
When I heard the news about Geovanni, the Duncan family had already gone bankrupt. There would never be another Abby who would wholeheartedly support him and find ways to help him get through this difficult time.
The child in Marilyn’s belly was not Geovanni’s, and she didn’t know whose child it was. However, among the people she had slept with, Geovanni was the only wealthy person.
When Marilyn and Geovanni broke up, it was purely because she got involved with Winston and was
iscovered by Josephine Duncan, who sent her abroad.
After Marilyn was exposed, Geovanni wanted to divorce her, but Marilyn refused to divorce at all.
Dramatically, when the Duncan family went bankrupt and owed a large sum of money, Marilyn threw the divorce agreement at him and then took away all the cash in the house.
Geovanni regretted deeply and came to the Stanley family every day, wanting to reconcile with me.
But every time he came, he would be beaten up, until he saw me and Dillon standing together. He angrily questioned me, “Abby, have you betrayed me? Have you rejected me because I don’t have money?”
I raised the corners of my mouth and smiled, “Brother, we have already divorced, so who am I supposed to care about you? You’re right, I did find fault with you for not having money, and I don’t
want to help you out of poverty again.
“I used to be too good to you before, making you think that everyone in the Stanley family was as
veak as me. But back then, it was because I loved you. Now, you are no different from garbage in my eyes. If you appear in front of me again, reminding me of how I was mistreated in the past, don’t
expect me to spare you.
Geovanni stared at me with red eyes for a long time and left dejectedly.
In the end, I ended up being with Dillon, and Myla started calling me mom.
Actually, Warren came to see me several times. He seemed to have grown up all of a sudden, and the way he looked at me was no longer disrespectful and disdainful like before. He sincerely
apologized to me.
Looking at his immature face, I didn’t soften my heart, but I also didn’t ignore him.
I gave him a monthly allowance so that he could study peacefully, but I couldn’t give him anything
else.
Now I had a considerate daughter, my life was moving forward. The people from the past, those things that caused me pain, I should let go of them.
