Chapter 12
When I got home in the evening, before I could even turn on the lights, someone grabbed my shoulder and pressed me against the door.
Who else could have the keys to my house besides Antoine?
But shouldn’t he be in Springford? When did he come back?
“You hurt me, Antoine,” I grimaced and tried to struggle.
He pretended not to hear, but he had already started pulling my clothes.
I haven’t seen him for half a month, and as soon as he comes back, he does this kind of thing to me.
What does he really think of me?
“You let go of me, I don’t want to!”
He heard it and became even more furious, “Can you tolerate it or not?”
Afterward, Antoine sat back against the headboard and smoked contentedly.
I felt nothing but shame and disgrace, as the overwhelming sense of powerlessness almost
consumed me. Gritting my teeth, I uttered, “Antoine, I hate you.”
He gently caressed my cheek with fingers holding a cigarette, “Do you hate me?”
His fingers slowly moved downwards, onto my neck, and then suddenly tightened.
I almost instantly widened my eyes.
His gaze was sinister, his jawline tense and the strength in his hands increased by another notch.
The cigarette ash fell on my clean shoulder, it was so hot, but I couldn’t feel the pain anymore, I
couldn’t even catch my breath.
Just when I thought Antoine wanted to strangle me, he suddenly let go of his hand.
I gasped heavily, tears streaming down my face.
A cold smile crept onto the corner of his lips,
“Are you scared now?”
Itrembled uncontrollably, clutching the blanket and hiding to the side.
“Do you dare to mess around with Alan, even though you know I’m afraid? If I hadn’t come back, Were you planning to put a green hat on me?” His voice was chilling
My heart was in chaos, and I defended myself, saying, “I was just friends with him.

He pulled out the firework necklace that Alan had given me and threw it at me. “Would a regular
friend give you such a precious necklace? Do you know there’s only one pink diamond in the world?” Noemi, I advise you not to challenge my limits!”
There was only one…
I reached out to grab the necklace, but Antoine snatched it away as soon as I touched it.
He said angrily, “If I take his necklace today, will I be able to climb into his bed tomorrow?”
I could tolerate his insult towards me, but I couldn’t accept his insult towards Alan.
I looked up and said firmly, “Alan was a good person, he would never force me.”
Antoine burst into laughter in anger, “He’s a good person? So I’m the bad one, right?”
“Since you are so self–aware, why bother asking me?”
Antoine was really angry with me and smashed everything in my room.
The mess on the floor, still couldn’t dissipate his anger.
He drove me to the seaside, stuffed the fireworks necklace into my hand, and sternly commanded me, “Throw!”
Memories of the moments spent with Alan flashed through my mind, and I tightly grasped the necklace, feeling reluctant to let go.
“Do you hesitate?” Antoine said ominously, “Noemi, either you throw the necklace into the sea right now, or I’ll have someone bring Dawson over here to throw him into the sea.”
I suddenly felt bored, turned my head, and looked at him coldly, “Antoine, besides threatening me, do you know how to do anything else?”
His deep eyes flickered with a trace of panic, as if afraid of losing something.
.But it was only a moment, and he quickly regained his cold expression, coldly saying, “Throw.”
I lowered my gaze, and the pink diamond in the palm of my hand reflected the moonlight, stunningly beautiful.
There are so many beautiful things in this world, but I couldn’t keep any of them.
I closed my eyes wearily, took a deep breath, and forcefully threw the necklace into the sea.
The w
waves swept away the necklace, as well as my last hope and freedom.
From now on, the only things accompanying me are endless pain and regret.
I felt as if I had lost all my strength, and with a heart as lifeless as ashes, I asked him, “Are you
satisfied?”
didn’t even want to look at him, I turned around and walked away.
Antoine caught up and said urgently, “Noemi, look at me.”
I ignored him, his voice becoming more impatient and restless, “Noemi, look at me.
I still remained silent as he grabbed my neck and forced me to look up at him.
He greedily stared at me, as if searching for the last trace of my love for him.
It was a pity, Antoine. I didn’t love you anymore.
The longer I remained silent, the more evident the panic in his eyes became.
He eagerly kissed me..
I did not accept, did not resist, did not respond, just stood still indifferently.
Finally, he leaned against my forehead and murmured, “Noemi, don’t even think about leaving me. Even if it’s going to hell, you have to accompany me.”
But, I was already in hell.
