Chapter 328
Chapter 328
“W–What?‘ After Michelle heard how it all began, her legs went weak and she collapsed to the ground,
Her eyes were full of distress and self–blame,
She thought, ‘How am I any different from those prejudiced students who bullied Elysia…
How bad must Elysia have felt back then when she found out she was being mistaken for an illegitimate child?
How painful would it be for her when she finally mustered the courage to ask me to take her away, only to be rejected?
Especially after all this suffering, Elysia still remembered me and even helped me pay off my debts…
“Ms. Olson, just wait to enjoy your good fortune. Elysia is so kind, and you helped her before, so I’m sure you’ll get lots of benefits from her in the future.”
“That’s right, so when are you visiting her? We want to come along.”
The other teachers believed she was crying tears of joy, and they were envious.
But Michelle’s answer surprised them.
She said, “I’m not going.”
What reason do I have to see Elysia now?‘ Michelle thought, ‘Like she said, that money was just to repay me for my kindness!
Michelle knew that even if she worked hard for the rest of her life, she couldn’t repay 1.5 million dollars. People might say she was greedy or cowardly, but she couldn’t bear to face Elysia anymore,
Besides, she knew Elysia’s life would only improve, with or without her.
If only I could go back in time, back to the day Elysia asked me if I could take her away, Michelle thought.
At least that way, Elysia would have suffered less, and maybe she would have been more alert because of Elysia’s presence, and wouldn’t have had all her savings stolen by that man.
Upon hearing her words, the others could only press their lips together and continue watching the live broadcast.
Leaving Zledo City, Elysia immediately boarded a plane back to Stoneford.
As for Archer’s company, she had already deposited all the money she had left, roughly estimated to be 30 million dollars, which should be enough for him to realize his dream.
Now, she had no regrets in her heart. She would leave the rest to fate.
Cloud Church.
“Are you sure this will bring my teacher back to life?” Valeria glanced at the coffin before her, then at the cloaked figure beside her.
“Yes. All we lack now is a match. Light the fireworks, and your teacher will come back to life once I finish chanting the spell,” the robed figure said.
Elysia’s body was now placed in a black wooden coffin, beneath which was piled firewood soaked in dog’s blood.
As for the match, Valeria didn’t give it to him, afraid that he would set her teacher on fire.
Even though the cloaked figure repeatedly assured her he wouldn’t burn her teacher..
“No, I don’t trust him. Bring in the next one!” Valeria shouted. It was only because of what Elysia had said in her dream that she had let him mess around until now.
Now, she couldn’t bear it any longer. She even wondered if Elysia would be suffocated to death by this broken coffin if she woke up now.

Just thinking about it made Valeria feel suffocated. She shouted at Karl and the others behind her, “Why are you all standing there like idiots? Open this coffin now.”
Karl had been staring at the cloaked figure the entire time, not only because he couldn’t lift him but also because he didn’t think that person was acting like a human.
We might not be his match in a head–on fight… Karl thought.
“Shall we go? Karl, let’s go together and see what he’s really up to.” Selena suddenly spoke up. It seemed that she had also noticed the problem.
To their surprise, the cloaked man walked toward the crowd and disappeared in a few seconds.
“Stop staring, come and help me open this big box.” Ava climbed onto the shelf immediately after she finished shouting in Yinatonian.
The others were also amused, only Karl and Selena felt something was wrong. They didn’t think that person should give up so quickly.
But soon they knew why. The coffin board was completely welded to the top of the coffin.
Being modern people, they didn’t understand the concept of a coffin. They just thought it was a sealed box, but Valeria was different. She knew it was for dead people to sleep in.
“No, this is wrong,” she yelled, “My teacher is not dead yet. Smash it. Smash it now!”
She regretted it deeply. She should have stepped forward to stop the man from closing the coffin.
