Chapter 159
“Antonio, its time for dinner, Zabelle said after she was done laughing.
my dinner is right in my arms, let me have a taste of you.”
“Hmm, my
Antonio’s hands cradled Zabelle’s face, his thumbs brushing her cheeks as he kissed her deeply.
The kiss wasn’t rushed; it was slow, deliberate, and filled with a depth of emotion that left Zabelle breathless
Her arms went around his neck, and she pulled him closer as their lips moved in perfect harmony, like two puzzle pieces firing together seamlessly
Her heart raced, her mind consumed by hirm–his warmth, his scent, the way he made her feel like the only person in the world.
While Antonio’s fingers weaved through her hair, holding her gently but firmly, as if afraid to let go.
When he finally pulled back, it wasn’t because he wanted to, it was because he needed to as they were breathless
Their foreheads rested against each other as they caught their breath, their eyes locked in a silent exchange of love and longing
“Antonio_“Zabelle whispered, her voice trembling slightly.
He pressed a soft kiss to her forehead, his lips lingering there as he
as he murmured. “You make it so hard to leave, my love. After we are done there. I’m
having my fill of you”
She smiled, her cheeks flushed, and she lightly swatted his chest. “You had me yesterday.”
“I know right, it’s been too long,” he said and Zabelle chuckled.
“Go freshen up before dinner gets cold.”
Antonio rhuckled, his deep, velvety laugh sending shivers down her spine. “I’ll be quick, but don’t miss me too much while I’m gone.”
Zabelle laughed softly, her fingers brushing against his jaw as she replied, “I’ll try my best, but no promises.”
He reluctantly placed her down as he turned to head upstairs.
Zabelle stood there, watching him go, her heart feeling light and full
Once he disappeared into their room, she touched her lips, and let out a small laugh as she squealed inwardly.
She was finally happy, and she couldn’t believe her luck had changed.
Her thoughts were a whirlwind of happiness as she returned to the dining table, making small adjustments to the setting.
When Antonio returned, he was dressed in a casual white shirt and shorts.
Even in such simple clothes, he looked effortlessly handsome. Zabelle’s eyes lit up at the sight of him, and she couldn’t help the smile that spread across her face.
“You know you look very nice in my clothes, you should wear it more often,” he spoke.
“It had your scent and I like it,” she stated, gesturing for him to take a seat.
“I hope you didn’t eat without me,” he squinted his eyes just as he pulled out his seat
“Never,” she responded as she began uncovering the dishes on the table. The aroma filled the room, making Antonio’s stomach rumble.
“Did you help Martha in making the dishes?” Antonio then started a conversation as he wanted to hear her talk.
Zabelle didn’t realize, but she talked a lot when she was excited, and her voice was music to his cars.
Zabelle nodded, and she began eagerly explaining each dish Martha had prepared while Antonio listened intently, his gaze fixed on her, not the
food.

Chapter 19
They began eating, and the meal was accompanied by laughter, soft touches, and lighthearted conversation. Zabelle’s joy was infectious, and Antonio found himself captivated by the way her eyes sparkled as she spoke.
“You’re incredible, Zabelle. I hope you know that,” Antonio told her, his voice warm after she had finished speaking.
Her cheeks flushed, and she looked down at her plate, smiling shyly. “You always know what to say to make me feel special”
“It’s the truth,” he said simply, his eyes never leaving her.
As the evening progressed, they shared more stories, laughter, and tender moments
By the time dessert was served, Zabelle was practically glowing with happiness, and Antonio felt a profound sense of contentment.
Meanwhile, in a stark contrast to the warmth and joy in Antonio and Zabelle’s home. Gabriel stormed into his mansion, his mood dark and
menacing.
His neck was bruised from what Antonio had done and his body hurt. That bastard didn’t hold back.
His wife, sitting in the living room with a book, looked up in surprise as he entered.
“Gabriel?” Lily called out, concern evident in her voice. “What happened? You look.
“Not now!” he snapped, cutting her off. His tone was sharp and biting, and she flinched, her eyes widening.
Gabriel didn’t spare her a second glance as he marched past her, heading straight for his study.
All she did was sit around and spend all of his money without doing anything. Utterly useless.
Once inside, he slammed the door shut and locked it, the sound echoing through the quiet house. He stalked to his desk, yanking his tie loose as he muttered curses under his breath.
Grabbing his phone, he dialed a number, and he tapped his fingers impatiently..
When the call connected, his voice was icy. “What’s the update on the captive!”
There was a pause before a hesitant voice replied, “We’re still searching, sir. There’s no sign of him yet.”
Gabriel’s fist came down on the desk with a loud thud as that was the last thing he wanted to hear.
“Are you telling me he just vanished? I don’t pay you to make excuses–find him, or I swear, I’ll kill every last one
e of you!
bastards!”
“Y–yes, sir,” the voice stuttered. “We’re doing everything we can
can.”
“Clearly, it’s not enough,” Gabriel growled before ending the call abruptly.
Frustration boiled over, and Gabriel swept everything off his desk in one violent motion.
Papers, a lamp, and a glass of whiskey crashed to the flour, the sound reverberating in the room. He stood there, breathing heavily, his hands clenched into fists.
His mind raced, calculating his next move. He couldn’t afford to lose control now, not when so much was at stake.
After a few moments, something clicked into his head, and his lips curled into a cold, calculating smile. He grabbed his phone again, dialing
another number.
“Change the search parameters,” he ordered when the call connected. “The captive could already be in the city. Have our men comb every corner- bars, hotels, alleys. If anyone sees him. I want to know immediately.”
The town where the captive had been held was a small town, there was no way they wouldn’t have discovered where he was if he was there, as he had a lot of people on his payroll.
It was highly likely that the only reason why the captive hadn’t been found, was because he wasn’t there anymore and knowing the captive, there was only one place he would run to, and that was in the same city he was living in.

“Yes, sir,” came the swift reply.
Cabriel immediately ended the call, and he sank into his chair, his expression hard. He wouldn’t let this slip through his fingers. Not now, not ever. especially after so many years.
As he stared at the mess he had made of his office, his mind was already crafting new plans.
This wasn’t over–not by a long shot
“Let’s see how long you can hide,” he murmured, his voice low and menacing
And as for Antonio, it was time he taught that little bastard a lesson.
