Hearing this, I finally came to my senses and spoke slowly.
“Howard, you’re pathetic.”

He stopped speaking and looked at me.

“Howard, you married Lily before we even got a divorce. I’ve already filed a lawsuit for bigamy.”
“Wendy, have you gone mad?”
Upon hearing the news, Howard leaped up in shock, tearing the court’s receipt of the case into pieces.

He stood there, waiting for my response, but his trembling hands betrayed his
nervousness.

Howard was stunned for a moment, then screamed so loudly that his neck veinss bulged.

Recalling all the hardships I’d gone through in such a short time, I couldn’t help but let tears stream down my face.

His apology felt genuine.

I pretended to be surprised and looked at him.
Howard nodded firmly.
After a few casual words, I left.

Knowing full well that Howard was already married and still marrying him, Lily couldn’t escape the charge.
She looked uncertain at my words but still refused to believe it.
