Chapter 34
Chapter 34
Alessia Guzman
It’s currently 7:23 pm and I’m sitting on my bed thinking nonstop about what Leonardo said to me last night.
‘Alessia?”
“….Yeah?”
“Tease me again and you’ll be leaving the room in a wheelchair instead of on foot.”
My cheeks redden and my thighs clench at the thought of it. God! I hate the way my body reacts to him.

I hardly talked to him the entire day as he left early for whatever he said he had to do and came back going straight into his study with Russo and Anthonio.
I’m kinda scared though. What is it he has planned anyway?
Leonardo De Luca
Despite everything going on with Alessia, I had to keep focused for my meeting today with Landon. I got the money he wants for his stupid interest but I’m intrigued by what else he has to say.
Losing Landon as a business partner could be extremely dangerous for our income. He helps us bring in a lot for my empire and I know we do the same for him but right now, he doesn’t trust us, not one bit. A part of me knows he wants to let loose for what we did or what someone in my empire did and shed some blood.
Landon is deadly. He has always been known for being deadly.
I’ve heard countless stories regarding the women he has killed, the men he’s tortured, and the things that he’s done to innocent people because they seem to inconvenience him.
This is why I knew I needed to keep my mind clear for this meeting, razor–sharp focus, and think about what I’m saying before I say it.
Thoughts of Alessia and the plan I had for her would have to wait for now.
I’m not scared of Landon but I’m worried about what he could do to my empire that I’ve spent years building up, growing connections, and my other business.
Everything could go to shit with the click of his fingers and it is the last thing I need right now.
I don’t like the fact that I’m already distracted but with Alessia, it’s fucking inevitable at this point.
The thought of her splayed on my bed squirming while I worked my tongue on her inviting pussy was driving me crazy.
I wasn’t joking about my warning to her the previous night. She needed to stop teasing me else I’d fuck her so hard she wouldn’t be able to walk again.
Part of me wishes I could have a quick look inside her mind. I’d love to know what goes on in her brain when she looks at me. She might be sharp–mouthed but I know she wants it. Oh, she wants it so fucking badly.
Ishake my head because I find myself thinking of her far too often and right now, I need to keep my composure, I need to

focus. I need to think about how I’m going to address Landon without his need to draw his gun and threaten me into something I don’t want to do.

Landon might have as much power as I do but he’s a man that I want to keep happy. He can be irrational just like me and I have to be smart in my dealings with him,
I got into my car and drove to the location of his warehouse. We both promised not to bring any of our men but I guess I’ll see how far that goes for him.
Both Russo and Anthonio know where I am but I told them I’d check in with them after the meeting. I know Landon won’t do anything stupid like attempting to kill me. He needs me as much as he hates to admit it.
I got out of my car, making sure my gun was loaded and tucked away in the back of my trousers, my blazer hiding it.
With the bag of money in one hand, I adjusted my sleeves and strolled into the warehouse. My hand pushes the rusty door of the building and takes one look around at the boxes piled up to the ceiling, chains hanging down, and plastic sheets everywhere.
“Ah, Leo.” Landon’s deep voice echoes from across the warehouse behind me. “You made it.”
I stop walking and stare ahead, keeping my composure. Slowly, I turn around to face him. Landon’s hands are shoved into his trouser pockets. He’s smiling at me like some smug bastard but I don’t even react to his presence.
He is alone and has no weapon in sight but I’m pretty sure he’s got a gun tucked in his pants just like I do. You never go anywhere unharmed. We both know that’s the number one rule. You always have to come prepared wherever you go, even with your business partners.
“I have your money.” That is all I blurted out.
Landon’s head tilts and his dark eyes flotsam down to the bag in my hand. “Glad to see.”
I walked forward a couple of steps and handed him the bag. Landon drags his eyes back to mine and studies me for a few seconds. I tried my hardest not to look at those scars that covered his face but it was harder than I expected.
He takes the bag from my hand and unzips it without looking at what he’s doing, eyes still on me, cold.
Eventually, he glances down at all of the money in the bag and he nods curtly. Landon’s mouth curves in an evil smile and hate that look on his face.
“Ahhh, how long have we been friends, Leo?”
I angle my head at him and scowl. “Friends?”
He tilts his head back and laughs like I just cracked a joke. “We’ve known each other for almost eight years, safe to say we know each other pretty well. Don’t we?”
“We’re business partners. Nothing more.
“Nothing more?” He feigned shock.
I watch him carefully. Sometimes, I just want to point my gun to his head and end it all.
“We’ve worked together for a long fucking time.” He comments and straightens his spine. “We’ve been through a lot together. It’s a shame you feel like you can’t call us friends.”

Chapter 34
I try to keep my expression neutral. It’s proving difficult when Ist want to get the fuck out of here before my anger gets the best of me and I shoot this motherfucker right here.
Landon huffs out a sigh when I don’t respond. “I know your father would want us to be friends.”
My jaw tenses. “Don’t you dare bring up my father?”
Amusement sparks in Landon’s eyes and it sets something off in me, but I manage to keep myself composed.
“Why not?” Landon now begins to pace. “He might be retired but he is still the Don and a great man at that.”
When I don’t say anything, Landon stops walking and turns to look at me, studying my expression. He fakes a pout. “Oh, did I hit a nerve?”
“We didn’t come here to talk about my father,” I grumble. “You have your money now and I believe everything is sorted between us so I guess we’re done here.”
I didn’t wait for Landon’s response as I turned as quickly as I could and headed towards the same door I walked through.
When I reach my car, I don’t look back or glance around as I shoot out of the derelict car park and head straight home.
