Chapter 19
As soon as the words left her mouth, Chelsea realized she shouldn’t have asked. It was just a fake marriage, after all.
“Sorry, I was just curious” she added;
Before Winston could react, hearing her apology, he responded with a slight hint of irritation. “A friend”
Chelsea didn’t expect him to explain. For a moment, a flicker of delight appeared in her eyes.
“The dinner was great. Thanks.” With that, she got up, cleaned the dishes, and went back to her room
The whole night, she kept dreaming of everything that happened at the Houle family and the pasta Winston made, It all intertwined into a web, forcing her to wake up early
Panting
sting heavily, she wiped her face, her hands drenched in sweat.
It took her a long while to calm down before she headed to the bathiroont.
After a quick wash, she pulled out some beef from the fridge to make soup and started preparing breakfast, rushing around non–stop.
When Winston got up, he smelt the aroma. “You’re making soupr

Breakfast was ready. They had their meal, and Chelsea went to the bathroom Coming out she was clad in a light–colored long dress, her hair secured naturally with an elegant hairpin, falling loosely.
She picked up two brand–new lunch boxes and divided the soup into two, giving one half to Heath and the other to Winston. “You’ve been working hard lately. Take it with you.”
Winston’s eyes showed a hint of warmth. “Thanks,” he said.
With that, he left, gripping the hunch box, and Chelsea followed suit, driving to the hospital.
Heath had already woken up. Chelsea walked over to his bedside, placing the lunch box down. “Heath, I made some soup for you. Have some later”
“Alright.” Heath smiled, looking at her. “It’s griting late. You should go to work.”
“Okay, I’ll leave now, I’ll come by tonight to get the lunch box” After a few reminders, Chelsea finally left,
Heath glanced at the lunch box, reached out, grabbed it, and was greeted by a mouth–watering aroma. He wasn’t really hungry, but that smell sure made him crave abuse.
Arriving at Amber, Chelsea was instantly welcomed by Julia, who sneered, “You’ve got some nerve showing up after landing Heath in the hospital”
“Should we sell Heath who was behind it all? Chelsea shot back, her cold eyes locking onto Julia as she set down her bag.
“Just you wait” Julia bit her lip.
She failed this time, but next time, she swore she’d utterly ruin Chelsea.
Though Julia had seized the credits, the subsequent work will fell upon Chelsea’s shoulders.
Abe landed her a fresh project, and she dived into sketching designs until six in the evening.
Getting off work, she got a call from Margot. “Come to Crown Holiday Hotel.

“Got it.” Chelsea added extra caution this time. She grabbed her bag, stepped out, and pinged Kate: [Kate, I’m meeting Margot at Crown Holiday Hotel. If I don’t message within an hour, come for me |
Seeing her leave, Julia sensed her chance and drove straight to the hospital.
Heath’s injury meant for her a perfect time to garner favors with him.
Arriving at Crown Holiday Hotel, Chelsea saw Margot was already waiting
Wade kept a cold expression yet still allowed Margot to nestle in his embrace.
“Chelsea, this way, Margot beckoned.
Chelsea parked her car, saying, “Let’s go.”
They walked together to the suite, aromatic candles filling the room with a soothing pine scent, a vibe of high society
Unbothered. Chelsea took a seat on the couch. “Give me the thing”

Margot produced a box and gave it to Chelsea, who hastily unwrapped it–inside lay
Her eyes quickly reddened. Back when her mother passed, she was still too young to secure any keepsakes.
Now that she had it, she vaguely remembered her mother’s gentle face and her extremely soft voice.
She held the box, tears falling fast and fiercely, but thinking of Margot and Wade still around, she wiped her tears. “Can I leave now!?”
“Leave?” Margot sneered as if hearing something funny, raising her hand.
Getting the signal, a middle–aged man walked in.
Chelsea looked over, finding it was none other than Stewart Robinson, the man the Wises had wanted her to marry.
“Margot you set me up?” She turned her head, looking at Wade in disbelief. “You knew it too?”
She had long given up hope on Wade, but after so many years of connection, he was actually going to stand by and watch Margot plot against her.
Wade’s face was cold, but he was stung by the shock in her eyes.
Margot pinched his hand, and he snapped back to reality instantly. “Seducing men–isn’t that just second nature to you, Chelsea! Cecil Heath which one of these men didn’t throw themselves at you?”
Every time Wade thought about how Chelsea might have seduced countless men during these years, he wanted to slap his past self. A woman like Chelsea, fickle and cold–hearted, didn’t deserve his mercy!
Chelsea felt her whole heart was crushed. Even though Wade had chested first, she never thought he would humiliate her like this.
Since childhood, she had only liked Wade. For him, she had rejected countless suitors. Yet he treated her as a slut.
Now that they were determined to find fault with her, they could easily concoct a story.
“What are you standing there for? Come here and take good care of Mr. Robinson. Margot pushed Chelsea from behind.
Stewart spread his arms, his eyes full of murky lust. Little beauty-
Chelsea was pushed into his arms. As his greasy hand came close, Chelsea felt goosebumps all over.
Taking advantage of the moment, she kicked him between the legs, shook off his hand, and bolted out the door!
Letting out a scream, Stewart writhed in pain on the ground, trembling
Margot and Wade immediately chased after Chelsea, yelling, “Chelsea, stop right there!”
Her body felt unsteady, and it dawned on her that something was off with the candles in the room.

Chapter 19
In her dizziness and panic, she pushed open a random suite door.
Margot and Wade couldn’t find her, so they were about to search room by room.
Before they could, the elevator doors opened with a ding. A group of black–suited bodyguards escorted a young man out of the elevator.
The two instinctively looked over
The man had short, neat hair, sharp, arched eyebrows that radiated an aura of authority, and a chilly, formidable presence.
He wore a mask, covering the lower half of his face, but it didn’t diminish his elegance.
Margot was so intimidated that she stepped back subconsciously.
The group arrived at the suite door, and the man raised his hand, signaling the bodyguards to wait outside. “Stay out here,” he commanded.
In the next second, Wade suddenly realized something and hurried into the elevator with Margot. “Let’s go. We need to leave now”
“But what about Chelsea?” Margot didn’t want to miss this opportunity.
“That guy in the black suit is Winston’s assistant, Fabian Howe. The one in the mask must be Winston. Three years ago, we didn’t make it easy for him. If he finds us here, we’ll be in big trouble–it’s not worth it!” Wade turned pale, clearly not expecting Winston to be here.
“Winston Moody! The heir of the Moody family, CEO of Nova Group? Margot wondered as she leaned against Wade, her eyes gleaming with
admiration
To her, this man had it all: looks, family, and talents, absolutely tantalizing.
