“How!” I asked. “I thought he’s like some super boos or something and can’t be killed easily”
He runs at my words. “Landon is a fucking coward and trust me when I say that he’s not getting away with this. But it’s something that you don’t need to worry about. I know you’d want to stay out of it and the less you know, the better.”
“Yes.” I rasp, burying myself deep imo the covers.

me a simile. “I’ll see you later. Have a good day”
Doing nothing. Yeah.
I wave him off and wait for him to leave before taking a shower and heading downstairs for some breakfast. I need some delicious food to help me recover and I know Guila would be up to the task.
To my surprise, Leonardo is sitting at the kitchen counter with his laptop in front of him. He was wearing a white t–shirt that clung to his every muscle, accentuating his biceps, and making them look really big.
His gaze flicks up to me as I stroll towards him.
Guila immediately pours me a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and I perch myself on the stool opposite Leonardo. His eyes are still on me.
“How are you feeling
Timored his question and asked one of my own. “Can we train today!”
Leonardo tiks his head and pushes himself away from the counter, straightening his back. “You haven’t recovered yet, amore. It’s only been a few days.”
Then he folded his hand over his chest and my eyes flicked down to his budding muscles
If only it could tear off that shirt off his body.
I clear my throat and tear my eyes away from his tempting body. He’s wearing a smirk when I meet his gaze again. He knows. Smug prick!
I shook my

“I just think it will be good to try and keep up with some training so I don’t forget everything
He studies me for a long period and I can feel my body beginning to heat up under my oversized t–shirt and biker shorts. Suddenly, these clothes feel far too close to my body and Im turning redder by the second.
“The doctor ordered you on bed rest. He said you needed to rest.”
I rolled my eyes. “I don’t care what the freaking doctor said. I feel fine now. I just want to go over some stuff. Nothing too intense.
Leonardo’s eyes bore into mine. “It hasn’t been long sin
“I don’t care.” I cut him off and he stares me down. “I want to go over what happened the other day. “I need to know what I could’ve done more to help my situation. I need this please!”
He let out a long sigh and 1 knew I had him where I wanted him. “Tine. Meet me in the basement in twenty minutes.
My eyes light up at his
response.
After I get changed d into something suitable, I head downstairs a liude early. When i walk, it hurts my ribs a biule bit but it wasn’t that bad for me to
be concerned.
Leo appears on time. He’s still in his white t–shim but he’s changed his bottoms into black shorts that flash off his muscular legs, licked my lips and then scolded myself for doing that in front of him.
When I meet him in the middle of the mat, he glances at me. “Right Show me exactly what happened.” He says and I nod.
Chapter 19
“Okay. Well, I was coming out of the patio door and walked through the kitchen.” I started angling myself towards him so he could see my position. “I heard these footsteps and I turned and he tackled me to the ground here.” I touch my waist. “And then, we wrestled for a while.”
Leonardo’s eyes flick over me and he hums as I demonstrate. “So instead of doing this, he motions to what I said, “You could’ve done this.”
He grips my elbow and raises it, showing me a technique that is good for defense. I nod at him and practice it again until I show him more and he
gives me new ideas
I keep them locked freshly in my brain. These could save my life.
After an hour of trying out different techniques, I’m exhausted, dripping with sweat. My ribs are throbbing painfully but I don’t tell Leonardo that
“I have to admit.” He says before chugging down some water, my eyes shamefully watching his throat bob. “I admire your strength.”
“Like you said, I can’t let it eat me alive.”
The corner of his lips curled as he placed down his water bottle. “Well, not a lot of people would get up to do what you just did so soon after. Bur you don’t need to put up a tough act, amore.” He says, walking closer to me.
“Right Let’s practice that last one again.” I say, clapping my hands together in front of me. He stopped in his tracks, nodding
I repeat what he showed me earlier. A trick I could’ve done to make the intruder unconscious, rather than shooting him dead.
He holds up his hands and I lean forward to grab his wrist but when I twist, spikes of pain run through my torso. I released his grip and dropped to the mat, clutching my hands to my ribs as I cried out in absolute agony.
I stupidly overdid this and now it has caught up with me.
“S–shit” I mumble through the excruciating pain.
Leonardo immediately gets down beside me.
“What is it! Your ribs?”
1 nod, griting my teeth as I roll onto my side. “Yeah.”
His hand immediately takes the hem of my t–shirt. I try to push him away but he doesn’t budge. He throws up the top, exposing my ribs which are covered in dark purple bruises.
“Cazzo!” He hisses as his eyes roamed over my skin. “I told you you fucking needed to rest, not train. Fuck!”
I rolled my eyes despite being in pain. “You sound like Russo.
“I need to ice this” His voice rockets through the room.
I focused on his hardened gaze but I shook my head. “I’ll be okay.”
His eyes darken heavily. “I said I’m going to ice it”
My lips part and I take a shallow breath. “Fine,” I mumble.
I press a hand to the mat and attempt to push myself up. A small cry escapes my lips at the intense pain. My whole body shakes and I groan. Fuck! That hurts like a bitch!
Leonardo takes my hand in his, pulling me up into his arms effortlessly. I flop my head down onto his shoulder, exhausted. My eyes closed as he
carried me into the house.
His body is so huge. He carries me like I weigh nothing more than a feather. He feels food. He smells good.
When we reach the kitchen, he stops by the freezer, dipping his hand down into one of the drawers. He walks us down into the living room where he drops me down onto the pillows. My eyes glanced up at him as he hovered over my body. I watch as he uses his fingers to pull up my shirt, exposing my ribs again.
A look of frustration, anger, or guilt flashes across his eyes when he studies the bruises again. I’ve barely managed to look at them in the mirror myself. They’re so incredibly horrific.
Leonardo places the ice pack on my ribs and I clenched my eyes shut, sucking in a deep breath at the freezing sensation.
“Twenty minutes.” He said.

1 purse my lips and nod. Then when I open my eyes, Leonardo slides into the sofa spot beside me, still holding the ice pack to my skin.
“Thank you” I tell him after a while when the pain begins to subside. “Please don’t tell Rayo about this”
Leo inhales deeply and quirks an eyebrow at me. “You asked him to train you and he refused, didn’t he?”
I roll my eyes. “Just don’t tell him okay!”
“I’m not going to lie to him if he asks though. I respect him too much for that,” he said, smirking at me.
My jaw clicks. “You gonna tell him how many times you’ve made me come too?”
Leonardo’s eyes flicker for a second, his hands clenching around the ice pack tightly but he doesn’t press it into
