Flara pov
They fight, tearing everything in their path without restraint. My frown deepens as I watch Lucian, still in his human form, and Damien, in his form, clash with a force that shakes the ground beneath them.

Lucian is losing, and Damien seems intent on killing him. Not that in matters to me anymore. I don’t care what happens to Lucian. He can die right here, right now, and I won’t flinch.
What I do care about is that when this is over, it will be my fault. There have already been so many casualties in the Crimson Shadow pack because of these two Alphas, and it feels like I’m at the center of it all–which I never wanted. I plan to leave, and I can’t afford to have anything holding me
back
I turn to look at the people behind me, but none of them seem to have any intention of stepping in. Even Elijah simply watches the scene unfold, his face showing concern, but he doesn’t move.
Goddess, should I just make a run for it? Now is my best chance to escape when they are all distracted, but I doubt I can make it far before I’m dragged back by the warriors. Lucian and Damien might be distracted, but these people won’t be, especially Elijah, who sometimes throws glances
my way.
“Miss, you need to follow me,” a voice pulls my attention away from the ongoing fight. I glance over to see a man with blond hair and glasses, smiling at me like there isn’t a fight going on. He seems relaxed as he stretches out his hand to me.
Take me where! If it’s anywhere away from Lucian and Damien, I will gladly follow, but before I can respond, the ground trembles once again beneath me as Lucian rushes forward, attempting to grab me. However, before he can, Damien blocks his path, growling dangerously as they continue to fight
“What should we do? It’s getting serious Carlos doesn’t seem to be holding hack,” the woman from earlier runs up to us, speaking to the blond man fear etched on her expression.
Carlos? Who is Carlos!
I want to ask, but the words catch in my throat as the tension in the air shifts–becoming thick with an undeniable sense of danger. I turn back to the fight. This time, even though I don’t know anything about fighting, I know they hadn’t been using their full strength earlier. 1 can feel it they had been holding back before, but now, they aren’t.
I take a shaky breath as Lucian and Damien charge at each other with killing intent. Dammit, this is going too far. I won’t be able to leave here peacefully if this continues.
I curse under my breath, my heart pounding as I charge toward the fight, ignoring the throbbing pain in my leg. Surprised gasps echo behind me, the crowd frozen in shock. Jo their minds, they’re probably wondering how someone could be foolish enough to step in between two Alphas. But Alpha or not I can’t just stand by and watch this destruction,
As reckless as it is my body moves before my mind can even process it. Without thinking, I throw myself between them, eyes clenched shut, breath held tight, arms stretched wide as if I could somehow stop the storm of fury between them.
“You’re going to die, Elara, foolish girl” A faint voice echoes in my mind, and my eyes snap open, my breath catching in my throat.
That voice again!
Before I can fully process it, I instantly regret opening my eyes. Lascian is charging forward, his gaze fixed on me with unrelenting intensity. A flicker of recognition crosses his eyes, and he tries to stop, but it’s too late. He can’t halt in time.
Suddenly, a hand wraps around me from behind, pulling me out of harm’s way. I feel myself falling rolling across the ground. I hiss from the pain. bracing myself for the final impact. But instead of hining the ground, I land on something–or rather, someone.
I groan and open my eyes, and there it is the darkest shade of gray staring right back at me. I hold my breath, the pain in my leg now distant as I get lost in the depth of those eyes. I want to move–to stand up and get away from him–but his hand on my waist keeps me in place, not letting
me go
My heart pounds in my ears so hard, I swear I can hear its echo as we just stare at each other. But then, I catch the corner of his lips twitching into an amused smirk, and he mutters something under his breath.
“W–what?” I ask, unable to hear him over the thunderous beating of my heart.
“I said, if you want to stay here all day and get intimate with me, I wouldn’t mind,” he says with a grin, “but I’d prefer to do it somewhere a little less… public”

That’s when I realize I’ve gone into a daze, still on top of

I glare up at him, the words seething from my mouth. “Over my dead body, Lucian. I’d rather die than go with you. If you want to punish or kill me, then do it now. End me, like you ended your child. The words seem to strike a chord. A fleeting lonk of hurt crosses his eyes, but it vanishes before I can blink.

Damien places me to the ground beside him. I breathe a small sigh of relief that at least the fighting has stopped. Now, all I have to do is walk away from these no Alphas. But the only obstacle in my path is Lucian.
“Damien. I’m vaming you don’t interfere. Ebra is mine, and I don’t care if she’s your mate. I’m taking her with me,” Lucian hisses, stepping toward me, but Damien moves between us, blocking him
“Look at what you’ve done to my pack, Lucian. This chaos is on you. Couldn’t we have talked like civilized people? You know how much I despise Eghting–it’s just.. exhausting Damien smiles, spreading his arms apart in a gesture of calm
Lucian’s eyes snap to Damien, his irritation flaring. “What do you want, Damien What territory do you want for the girl?”
I narrow my eyes into a glare at Lucian. Great, I am now a commodity
Damien grins, tilting his head. “How could you think of exchanging my mate for a mere territory!” Damien spits, his tone lazy like he doesn’t want to be having a conversation with Lucian. “How about this? We give Elara the choice? Let her decide what happens next instead of dragging ber around like some prize.”
