Chapter2
“Did your husband catched this clingy viral too?” I asked her while securing the Velcro straps on my sneakers, I am bad at tying laces and if I do it skids open somehow.
So my considerate, once boyfriend, now fiance and soon–to–be promoted to husband keeps it in his mind to remember that when we shop. My -sister–in–law laughed shaking her head.
“Well, he always is clingy so I can’t say if that’s viral,” she replies grabbing her shoe
“I think it’s more of the gender issue no?” I joked and she grinned at me.
My other tour bridesmaids joined us by the foyer walking out from the restaurant area to us with drinks in their hands.
“Chelsea I told you not to eat.” I gasped loudly. She tends to throw up if she eats and sits on those dangerous rides. She bit her lips sheepishly, shaking her head
“Throw up it is then.” “She mutters. Ew!
“Guys please I just had food Xaviera gags. I rolled my eyes they were all getting sick, it was an easy prediction. They always do if they eat though
We exited the Hotel, to ride down to the Fun Fair location. At first, we had planned on doing a Joint Bachelorette Party, but Keith’s friends and my friends had different ideas for it. So we decided to keep it typical doing it separately. The boys are going to a High–end Gaming Pub, that’s been hyped on the internet nowadays where there is both new adventure and booze.
We girls decided we needed something in the daylight with a little bit of rides and a big place to walk and shop around. We were getting married in Florida like I always dreamed about, a beach wedding with the sun setting behind the ombre shades of clouds just above the ocean. And we flew in two weeks before making a good trip out of it.
The rest of the family members were flying down tomorrow. And we decided to throw a reception for the co–workers and mutual friends back home. It wasn’t a luxurious affair, but something beautiful and affordable for us since I had the employee benefit from my job at the top Wedding Planning Agency.
My boss is an obnoxious bitch, she thinks weddings are only beautiful when they are all elegant and luxurious.
Yes, I do believe it should be a special day, beautifully organised and all. However, if the groom and bride are at their happiest in whatever they choose, of course as long as it is decent, because trust me I’ve seen some ridiculous ideas that people have and it was almost impossible to pull off, also leaving the guests annoyed. So however we were doing it I am glad I am marrying a Man like Keith.
“Hello, daydreamer,” Nyla called out to me and I blushed.
“Hey, when are you giving him your wedding gift?” Ophelia quizzes.
“On the wedding night stupid.” Nyla slapped her arm, as she nudged her back. I shook my head in amusement, friends can be a crazy company.
As much as the Fun Fair was thrilling and eye–catching, it was also loud and tiring. We rode some big rides that my sister–in–law refused to go with us. on. And also some easier ones that weren’t all twisty and shaky. We bought some handmade bracelets and those crocheted cardigans were irresistible. Some of us also bought a couple of sweaters since triple a purchase was bringing in a discount.
By the time we were done with the rides, all of us were famished. So we slid into a restaurant to stuff our mouths and bellies. Those chicken wraps were heavenly, and so were the giant fries. Right when we were driving back to the resort, Keith dropped a text that he was leaving with the guys and I sighed in disappointment. I was hoping to catch him before he left.
I just missed him a lot today. And being so near to getting hitched with him I was feeling more clingy. The girls were all exhausted, and some of them even had headaches from puking. So we retired to our rooms,
Once I was done showering I saw my sister–in–law soundly asleep on the bed. I adjusted the covers around her and turned on the air conditioning. It was hot these days. I pulled out the shoe box that cost me a fortune, I mean it wasn’t worth billions but far more than Keith and I normally spent
It was the latest Clarks boots that caught Keith’s eye but it was so expensive he kept it back. And I have been pinning behind it ever since. Even if I had to work a little extra for some more money.
Bringing the necessary stationery stuff, I gift–packed it in the grey and golden gift wrapper that I knew he would love. Being good at crafts did come in handy huh?
