Not even for a second–that I would be too late.
My assistant told me that Liv never even saw the apology message I had arranged with the drones. Zane had orchestrated artificial rainfall, completely ruining my plan.
Even so, I still had faith in Liv. I had saved her life before. No matter what mistakes I had made in the past, she had always forgiven me, always tolerated me.

Besides, she had given me everything–her faith, her heart, her body. How could she possibly belong to someone else? Especially not Zane–that useless blind man
Yet, when I reconnected with Kensington Corporation’s chief financial officer, planning to deal Zane a heavy blow, I walked right into the trap he had set all along.
That was when I realized–he had been faking his blindness the entire time.
Looking back at everything that had happened–the sudden return of Sloane, Kensington Corporation pulling out of our project and forcing a marriage alliance–I finally understood.
His goal had never been the business.
It had always been Liv.
Kensington Corporation’s retaliation was ruthless. To protect myself, I had no choice but to cut ties and sever all connections with her. With Zane planning everything so meticulously, I didn’t dare gamble on whether Liv’s heart would waver for him.
I scrambled to make amends, desperate to beg for Liv’s forgiveness. Desperate to see her.
But the moment I landed at Langston Hill, Kensington’s bodyguards were already waiting. If I even tried to get close to the Kensington estate, I was immediately and forcibly removed.
I could only resort to sending her past mementos under my mother’s name, hoping to remind her of what we once had. But before any of them could even reach Liv, the Kensington butler had already thrown them straight into
the trash.
I was out of options.
After extensive inquiries, I finally found out that Liv would be attending a designer’s gala–an art exhibition.
Through some connections, I managed to secure an invitation.
And at last–I saw her.
My sweet, beloved Pixie.
But I never expected her to look at me as if I were a plague.
I tried to explain everything. I told her that this was all Zane’s trap, that she had been deceived.
But she didn’t believe me.
Instead, she told me she and Zane had already gotten married.
Fury consumed me, drowning out my original intention to apologize.
And when Zane arrived, my pride refused to let me lose to him in front of Liv.
In the end, my anger got the better of me and I lashed out, hurting her once again with words I could never take
back.
I would never forget the way she looked at me as she ran away.
Disgust. Hatred.
And deep, unshakable disappointment
The girl who once looked up at me with adoration was gone.
And it was all my fault.
One mistake after another.
A domino effect I had set in motion myself.
I had thought about giving up.
But every night, in the silence of my drunken haze, memories of her would flood my mind.
Liv, lying beneath me, shy and sweet, delicate and irresistible.
She had promised to stay by my side forever.
And yet, she dared to betray me and marry another man?

The mere thought of her in Zane’s arms, yielding to his every touch–it burned me alive.
Damn Zane..
Liv was mine and mine alone.
She was just upset, just acting out because she couldn’t stand seeing me with Sloane.
Fine.
Let’s call it even–this was payback for the way I had neglected her before
She had betrayed me once and now we were even.
Once her anger cooled, I would go and bring her back.
Liv had always listened to me. She had loved me so deeply.
All I had to do was give her a way out and she would obediently return to my
side.
And after experiencing another man, she would probably be more open in bed–more willing to indulge me.
