“Then you got 80 percent and we 20! It’s settled!”
“Alright.”
The woman said as she took a stack of red bills from her pocket, almost as if afraid Hope would run away, and shoved the money at Hope.
“I’ll give you the deposit first. You can’t run away, okay?”
Hope took the money without hesitation.
“I won’t run away,” she pointed at the camera. “The whole country is watching!”

The woman chuckled, “Alright, you look so good, we trust you won’t stand us up.”
“By the way, little girl, what’s your name?”
“Hope.”
“Alright, we got it.”
“My name is Chloe, and these are my two sisters, Sophie and Autumn. You can call us the ‘Marple Sisters, ‘Marple Trio, or whatever you feel like–honestly, we answer to pretty much anything.”
“Aww, you’re such a sweet talker!” Chloe grinned, pulling a bag of fruit from the cabinet and handing it to Hope. “Here, take this back with you. And hey–promise me you’ll quit that water delivery job after today, okay? You deserve better!”

As Hope left, Sophie and Autumn exchanged glances, their faces breaking into
mischievous smiles.
[What’s her name? Chloe? Sophie, Autumn?]
【Enough with the comments above, Hope got five hundred as a deposit so easily, while Noah is still eating snacks in his livestream, and the old lady’s nearly lost her mind.】
【What’s going on? I need to check this out!)]
At Scarlett’s house, Scarlett, who was meeting her idol for the first time up close, felt lightheaded.
She took everything edible out of the fridge and spread all the snacks on the table.
“Emperor Brother, Sylvia, please eat!”

The snacks had been out for a while, and Sylvia, being reserved, hadn’t eaten. Only after Scarlett repeatedly urged her did she pick an apple and take a bite.
It wasn’t sweet…
She fought the urge to spit it out and chewed slowly, her eyes landing on a bag of chips.
She’d never eaten such cheap chips before, but she had heard of this brand, so she guessed it couldn’t be too bad.
She pretended to be delighted, put down the apple, picked up the bag of chips, tore it open, and handed Noah a chip.
“Brother, these are your favorite chips!”
Noah’s eyes shifted slightly. He had serious

stomach problems and needed to maintain his figure, so he never ate junk food, especially not chips that cost just a few bucks per bag!
But his dear sister had said that and offered it to him.
To avoid disappointing her and to maintain her face, he opened his mouth and took a bite.
He chewed a few times randomly and swallowed.
Then, using his acting skills as a “visual emperor,” he made a face as if he was enjoying it.
His gaze softened as he turned to Sylvia. “It’s really good.”

Sylvia’s eyes lit up. It was good after all!
She didn’t hesitate to shove a few chips in her mouth. They were fine, acceptable, and after eating a few, she set the bag down and started tearing open another flavor.
She had been spoiled in the Newton family and didn’t mind wasting food. If she didn’t like something or got tired of it, she’d throw it away. So she didn’t realize there was anything wrong with this behavior.
Noah didn’t think it was an issue either because Sylvia was his sister. Whatever she did seemed natural to him.
Scarlett noticed, furrowing her brow a little, but as long as her idol was happy, it was just snacks. She could always ask her parents for more money to buy more.

The live chat was exploding.
[@BudgetQueen] “That’s like $50 worth of snacks. Hope’s family isn’t exactly rolling in cash–they live in a tiny apartment. Easy to waste when it’s not your money, huh?”
[@ParentalPain] “If I were Hope’s parents, I’d be on the floor clutching my chest rn. Who raised this girl?”
[@MannersMatter] “Sylvia’s being so rude. Those snacks are gonna go stale in like. 2 days. Does she not know how humidity works?”
[@DoubleStandards] “Hope freaked out over a box of rice cakes from Grandma, but Sylvia destroys $50 worth of snacks and she’s silent? Stan loyalty is wild.”
[@MarpleTrash] “Proud Marple STAN here.

And FYI, food wasters are trash. Switched sides to the haters now. #ByeFelicia”
[@SnackQueen] “Why the HATERS malding? Broke boy can’t afford $5 snacks? Let the real fans vibe instead of crying on main.
[@FoodWasteHater] “Noah didn’t even try to stop her. Guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the trash tree. I hate food wasters equally.”
[@SnackDefender] “How is it wasting if they’re gonna eat it all later? Y’all just love to hate for no reason.”
Cue the instant karma.
Sylvia stopped eating, leaving the snacks scattered on the table, and grabbed a novel from Scarlett’s bookshelf. Her movements were so dramatic that Scarlett couldn’t help

glancing at her every two seconds.
The director’s voice crackled in Noah’s earpiece: “Noah, you’re supposed to be tutoring. The livestream audience is watching.”
Noah snapped back to reality. “Let’s start the lesson,” he said, slipping into his ‘strict tutor‘ persona. “Grab your textbook.”
Scarlett obediently pulled out her sophomore–year math book.
“If there’s anything you don’t understand, just ask, Noah said, his voice soft but firm. He was fully committed to the role now, imagining himself as a high school teacher guiding a student. His tone and demeanor shifted completely.

glasses he was wearing today–no lenses, just pure vibes. He looked equal parts scholarly and intimidating.
The livestream chat exploded.
【As expected of the visual emperor! That teacher vibe is real!)
[Noah, don’t make me beg you to act in modern dramas!)
[Oh my god, his entire aura has changed. My teacher–student romance novel’s male lead just got a face!)
【Who gets it? If I had a teacher this handsome, I’d definitely be good at math!]
Scarlett was also excited. She trembled as she flipped to a page in her math book and

pointed to an example.
“This… this one, I don’t understand.”
She even started stuttering when she spoke…
Noah looked at her finger and froze.
Are high school sophomore problems this hard?
Why is it so different from what he studied abroad?
He swallowed and pretended he hadn’t understood it clearly, taking the book into his hands.
Fortunately, the example in the textbook had an answer key.

He just needed to figure out how the answer was solved.
But ten minutes later, he still couldn’t understand!
The question was asking for the shaded area in a figure.
Thanks, but could he first ask for the shaded area in his mind?
He was good at math back in school, but after getting into acting, he was either memorizing scripts or studying character development. Math had long been forgotten!
