For days, Terry had been accompanying Katherine to choose a wedding dress, as if the recent drama had never happened.
They returned to the same bridal shop, sticking with the industry–leading Shane fashion brand.
“Mr. Shane, please accept my condolences,” the same shop assistant said, her voice filled with sorrow.
Terry flinched and looked up.
“You know about her passing too?”
The assistant took out her phone and opened the account that had posted the cancer documentary.
Pinned at the top was my obituary.
“My mother also died of cancer,” she said. “She was in unbearable pain before she passed, even begging me to let her go.”

Her words were pointed, making Katherine nearly snap a nail in frustration. “I think some people deserve to die,” Katherine said, her spite now fully exposed.
“Terry, pay quickly so we can leave. It’s bad luck to keep talking about a dead person.”
Terry’s fist clenched at his side, and a hint of resentment flashed in his eyes as he looked at Katherine.
Nevertheless, he handed his bank card to the assistant.
Moments later, the assistant informed them that Bob had issued a statement, stripping Terry of all his positions and freezing all his assets.
“I’m sorry, but this card can’t be used now. Also, Bob has instructed that you both should be asked to leave if seen here in the future,” the assistant
added.
“I don’t know who deserves to die, but cheaters and homewreckers never end up well.”
