Chapter 4
Luna’s dagger fell to the ground. She finally stopped torturing me.
My blood–soaked body slumped onto the floor. Blood gushed from the wound in my chest. I thought, “Just wait a little longer, and everything
will be over.”
Suddenly, ambulance sirens and women’s shouting rang out. I faintly heard someone begging me not to die.
I thought, “Why does this voice sound so familiar? It’s like Eliana’s voice. How could it be her? Didn’t she die trying to save me from Luna and
the others?”
“Ryan, don’t die, please!” a woman cried.
I forced my eyes open and saw Eliana Green kneeling over me, desperately pressing her hands against my chest. Her hands were covered
with my blood.
It really was her. She hadn’t died.
Countless memories of our youth flashed through my mind. Eliana was my first target and my childhood friend. When I was working to make money, she helped keep an eye on Bella. When Violet bit my hand, she bandaged my wound.
Eliana had said to me, “Ryan, do whatever you want. I’ll always be your support,”
Later, I married Luna. Eliana left me a farewell letter and went overseas. We met again when she learned about the online abuse I had
endured.
That rainy night, Eliana became a world–renowned star, while I had been slandered by Dylan and fallen into disgrace.
Eliana looked at me with a bright smile. “Ryan, did you do those things?”
Raindrops fell into her eyes. I smiled and lied to her. “Yes, I did. I’m that kind of malicious person. You must be very disappointed in me, right?”
But the next moment, Eliana hugged me tightly. “You’re lying. Every time you lie, you furrow your eyebrows for a second. Ryan, I know you’re not that kind of person. Why are you lying to me? You have nothing left now. Do you still want to push me away?”
I lowered my gaze, showing a bitter smile. Among the four heroines, the others owed me something, but Eliana was the one I owed the most. That was why I always resisted her kindness.
I didn’t answer Eliana and left her. But I never expected that this decision would plunge me into an abyss.
Luna’s people captured me. To avenge Dylan, they tortured me mercilessly. When I was dying, Eliana appeared, promising to rescue me. But she never showed up again.
Later, Luna told me she had gotten rid of Eliana.
Dylan returned, and Luna let

But now, Eliana was still alive the
“Eliana, you…” In my hazy state, I had so much to ask her, but my voice grew weaker and weaker.
I struggled to stay conscious, afraid I wouldn’t get another chance to ask. “I…” Before I could finish my words, I fainted.
What a good day it was. Everyone had gathered. I had no regrets left.
I stopped struggling, waiting for death to claim me.
But before long, I woke up. My body was wrapped in bandages.
“Poor guy. There are so many

wounds, some even showing bones.” Hearing the nurse’s mutter, I gradually regained awareness.
“No wonder he has so many injuries. He must be a lunatic!” The nurse, terrified, ran out of the ward.
Soon, a group of people flooded into the ward.

Violet, with a cold face, said harshly, “Ryan, you don’t know where Dylan is. Why did you lie to us? Do you want us to carry the burden of killing you? You’re so selfish! With my medical skills, I can bring you back from the brink of death!”
The others echoed her, blaming me.
Despite being the injured party, I was somehow at fault. I laughed bitterly.
Dylan, pretending to be sympathetic, said, “I just wanted to cook for everyone on this special day, but I didn’t expect Ryan to almost die
because of it.”
Bella added, “Ryan, why don’t you explain it?”
I frowned and sneered at them. “Explain? What’s the point? I’ve explained countless times that I never harmed Dylan. He framed me. But what did I get in return? Nothing but your insults! I don’t want to explain anymore. If you have any conscience left, give me a quick death.”
