Chapter 6
Perhaps my obedience stirred some compassion in Luna. She didn’t restrain me this time.
Her expression softened as she said, “Ryan, we were a couple after all, and I’m grateful for how you used to take care of me. But now I’m going to pursue my happiness. You’ll let me go, won’t you?”
I looked at her face. It was more charming than
What of the cheerful simple girl in my memory. But that girl had gone.
“I wish you happiness.” I huddled in the corner. My eyes were lifeless.
Luna seemed hesitant, wanting to say anymore, but when Dylan called her, she hurriedly left.
The next moment, a person appeared at the doorway. It was Eliana. She seemed to have been crying for a long time, her eyes red and swollen. “Ryan, after Dylan gets married, will you come home with me? I promised him I’d keep an eye on you. Please, for old times‘ sake, grant me this wish?”
I paused for a moment. I looked up at her, staring at her for a long time before finally saying, “Okay.”
Eliana left, satisfied.
Not long after, Violet and Bella came over. Looking at me, they hesitated to speak.
Finally, Violet broke the silence. “Ryan, if you can change your ways and stop bothering Dylan in the future, I’ll talk to Luna about letting you
out.”
Bella pressed her lips and added, “If you apologize to Dylan and announce that you bullied him, I might consider restoring our relationship.”
I glanced at the bandages covering my body and smiled. “Alright, after Dylan gets married, I’ll apologize to him in public.”
Hearing this, Violet and Bella rushed off joyfully to curry favor with Dylan.
I trembled as I spotted a needle Violet had dropped nearby. I had studied medicine with her before. As long as I picked up that needle and inserted it into a specific acupuncture point on my neck, I could suffocate myself to death.
With trembling hands, I picked up the needle and stabbed it into my neck. An intense feeling of suffocation overwhelmed me in an instant.
I thought, “I’m a loser. All four of my targets betrayed me because of Dylan. Luckily, I’ll soon be leaving this world.”
When Violet studied medicine, she always researched how to kill. I would often advise her. “Don’t be so obsessed with this. You should focus more on improving your medical skills. You can’t live the rest of your life in hatred,”
But she never listened to me, and I ended up learning many skills along with her.
Unexpectedly, what I had learned finally became my means of ending my life.

Dark figures crowded outside the door and soon rushed towards me. The faces of those who hated me were covered with fear.

I laughed loudly, forcing the last bit of breath from my chest. I shouted at them, “I’m going home!”
