Cain looked away from her, but she crossed her hand over her chest with annoyance.
“Cain,” she said. “Tell me the truth. Have you fallen for Elle?“%
He stopped in his tracks, turning to her with a glare. “Are you serious right now, Aliya?”|||
She tilted her head. “You’ve been obsessed with her from the start. You didn’t hesitate for a second when I told you to marry her, and now that she’s gone, you’re falling apart. So tell me, Cain, was this ever really about the company or did you love her?”
His hands tightened into fists. “I don’t have time for this right now, I have work to do
“I think you do. Because right now, Elle is gone, and you’re more worried about her coming back than about fixing this mess with the company.”
He took a step forward with a dangerous look in his eye. “You think I care about Elle? She was a pown and a means to an end. That is all, Aliya
She watched him, searching his eyes for any doubt. “Then why do you look like a man who’s losing something he never wanted to let go?
Cain turned away “You don’t even know what you’re talking about.”
She narrowed her eyes, watching him closely. She could sense that he was hiding something
But she let it go, for now.
“Fine,” she said, rising from the couch. “But you better fix this, Cain. Because if the company slips out of our hands, we’ll both have nothing.”
“I’ll handle it,” he growled.
She slowly walked out of the office, knowing she had to watch Cain closely now!!
If he was beginning to doubt her, then she had to be very careful.X
Because he didn’t know about Elle’s pregnancy and that she had found Elle tonight, but the stupid girl had escaped again. ELLES POV
James finally stopped the bike in the garage of a penthouse. The moment I stepped down from the bike and followed him into the building, he locked the doors and checked the security system.
“Go rest,” he said, nodding toward the bedroom. “You need it after everything that happened today.”
I stared at him in confusion, I still had so many questions. But after everything that happened, I was already so exhausted.
I nodded and stepped into the room, closing the door gently behind me.
The bed was huge and soft. I curled onto the sheets and pulled the blanket over my body.!!

But then it all came rushing back, I could hear my baby’s cries and Aliya’s twisted smile kept replaying in my mind.
Then the shove. The fall over the railings. The pain as I woke up in the hospital room all alone. I shot up from the bed screaming and my eyes were filled with fear.
The room was dark, and my skin was covered in sweat. My body was shaking as I gripped the blanket as tight as I could.
And then the door suddenly burst open. James rushed in, his eyes filled with concern, “Elle, what’s wrong?”
I stared at him as I tried hard to form words, my throat was closing in
He walked slowly towards me and sat at the edge of the bed. His hands were cold as he took mine and squeezed them.
“What happened?” he asked.
“Aliya she pushed me
His expression darkened. “What do you mean?”
“I was pregnant, James.” My voice cracked. “She knew and she threw me down the stairs.”
James‘ grip got tighter and his body tensed, I could feel his rage as he gritted his teeth
“She did what?” He growled
I swallowed hard, feeling the pain squeezing my chest. “Cain never knew about it. And I lost my baby.”
Fresh tears fell down my face as the memories swirled in my mind.”

I froze for a moment, but then I felt his warmth burning into my skin. I buried my face into his chest as I cried
James held me, slowly rubbing my back as he held me tighter
Aliya had taken everything from me–my life, inheritance, father and then my child E
Just like Cain had taken everything from James.
Slowly, my breathing evened out as I stopped crying James shifted, climbed into the bed and pulled the blanket over us
He wasn’t leaving me alone tonight I didn’t want him to, not when I finally felt safe in his arms
No matter what it took, I was going to make sure Aliya and Cain suffered for the pain they caused me.X
And now I knew we were going to destroy the people who had ruined our lives.
