Chapter 12:
Calis sat at his desk, staring at the contract that would finalize the transfer of King Corporation to the new buyer. His hands were shaking as he read through the document ||
He couldn’t stop his mind from spinning with a storm of emotions. He didn’t want to but selling the company was the only way out of this mess
It was his only way to keep any dignity in the business world. If he could sell the company before it crashed, he would be able to get out of this without going bankrupt
The investors had finally settled. He told them about his plan to sell the company, and they agreed but their only condition was to find a buyer who could restore King Corporation’s reputation in the business world
He was about to sij the document when the door flew open and Aliya stormed in.

He barely looked up at her, gritting his teeth. “You mean what you made me do?“X
Aliya had gone pale. “Cain, this was our plan. We did this together.”
But he had already made up his mind. Aliya had cost him everything, his name, his power, and his reputation. He wasn’t going to listen to her anymore X
He still knew nothing about the mysterious buyer, he was like a ghost in the corporate world. No one knew their identity, only that they had enough money to close this deal without thinking
Now, all Cain had to do was hand over the company that once belonged to The King family to the new owner.
Aliya returned to her office, pacing back and forth with rage, her nails were digging into her palms as anger boiled inside her
Cain was always arrogant, and in control. But how can he sell the company they had fought so hard to take from Elle?
No She wouldn’t let it happen.
She stormed out and walked into the conference room without knocking
Leave, Aliya
“No” She shot back. “You are not going to sell this company”
Cain rubbed his temple, glaring at her with annoyance. “This is not your decision
“It is!” She slammed her first hard on the conference table. “You want to give everything we have to some mystery buyer without even knowing who they are”

Aliya started panicking but she kept her expression composed. “I saved you. Cain! Do you think E would have left you if she knew what you did to her father! We built this future together

“No. Aliya. You manipulated me and dragged me into your games, and now look where we are.” He gestured to the papers. “This company is drowning and selling it is our only option
Her face twisted in disgust. “You’re a very weak man.”
Her eyes were buming with hatred, but before she could say another word, the doors of the conference room flew open.
All eyes turned.
The whole room gasped as they saw the woman standing in the doorway
She was dressed in a black dress that hugged her curves wearing six–inch heels. Her dark hung low over her shoulders in waves, and then she pulled off her designer sunglasses.
The room went dead silent
Cain’s heart stopped as he saw her face behind the glasses. Aliya gasped and stumbled back, her body hitting the table.
It was Elle Macmillan, standing right in front of them.
Cain was gripping the arms of his chair too tight, his eyes were wide with shock.
Elle stepped forward, her eyes were as cold as ice as she stared at everyone in the room.
She walked into the room and took her seat at the head of the table reserved for the company’s mystery buyer!
“Elle what are you doing here?” Cain managed to whisper.
Her eyes landed on him with a deadly glare and then she looked away, facing the room
“Good Morning ladies and gentlemen, My name is Elle Macmillan and I’m the new buyer for King Corporation. I believe my lawyers have discussed the terms for the company’s transfer.”
“You mean Elle Blackwood Cain corrected
Elle ignored him and pulled the documents closer to her. “I believe this is where I sign.” She said?!
Cain’s throat went dry as he stared at her. She looked very different from the woman he was married to.
