Chapter 118
He longed for my response, but this time, I would never satisfy his wish!!!
The desperation in his voice was almost enough to make me break. But I couldn’t. I wouldn’t. The bond we shared was broken, torn apart by his lies and betrayal.}
The sound of his voice calling out to me was a reminder of everything I’d lost, everything I’d given up. It made my wolf growl, thrashing in my chest, fighting against the pull that still tried to bring me back to him
“Lyria…we are not going back to himl
So I wasn’t that shewolf anymore. I wasn’t the one who would stand by and let him tear me apart again.
The connection was too, strong that I had to answer “Lyria?” Damon’s voice was urgent now, filled with worry.
I didn’t say anything. I couldn’t.
“I know you’re upset,” he continued, the words spilling out of him. “But we can talk. Please, come to the ceremony it’s not too late.”
It was like I was strangled, the familiarity of his voice sending a shiver down my spine. But it was too late for that ”
“Were you and Lilith all over yourselves? Because Lyria had sent evidence to the pack’s headquarters and across the territories, including eyewitnesses” I heard the Luna’s voice before the link was severed again.
The ship swayed under me, but my mind was focused on the elders house. Even with the miles between us, I could feel the weight of things I left behind–the evidence. Every word, every image, every moment I had captured and sent to the elders and all the territories.”
The connection between us rekindled faintly, and I felt it–Damon’s regret. It was pretty funny.
She knew. All this time, she knew. His thoughts rippled through the bond, tinged with fear
I rolled my eyes, leaning back on the deck of the ship, my herbal tea warm in my hands. Of course, I knew, Damon. You thought I was blind? I didn’t need the bond to hear his pathetic excuses.)
The wolf that was sailing the ship waved at me, his straight face making me chuckle.!!
–
How’s the loneliness so far?” He shouted from afar. Realizing what he meant, I smiled a little, turning my back to him.
“She was always quiet about it,” his voice muttered to himself. “Never said a word. Why didn’t she fight back?”8
I snorted, sipping my tea. “Why waste words on a fool? My wolf growled. And I agreed. He had many chances but only saw Lilith.
I could still feel the bond. It notified me faintly in my chest as the scene played out before me. The elders‘ chamber was thick with tension. Lilith stood in the center, her face pale as the pieces of my carefully laid–out plan were being reviewed.
“Explain this,” Elder Petra demanded, holding up one of the scrolls I had sent. “The notes, the details, the times- these are your movements, Lilith. And they don’t lie.”
Lilith’s lips trembled as she stumbled for an answer. “I–this isn’t true! Someone’s trying to frame me!”
Petra raised a brow. Frame you? With details that only someone close to Damon would know? Who do you think you’re fooling?”
The room rippled with murmurs from the other elders, wolves shifting uneasily in their seats.8
“She planted this!” Lilith screamed, pointing a shaking finger at the scroll. “Lyna’s trying to destroy us! She’s jealous, angry-”
Elder Marcus slammed his hand on the table, silencing her. “Enough!” His voice boomed, shaking the room. “You will answer for these actions. Denials won’t save you now.
Damon stood in the shadows, silent as always, but I could feel his unease.
“Damon,” Elder Petra addressed him, her tone sharp. “These reports tie you to Lilith. Secret meetings. Whispered conversations You’ve brought dishonor to the pack.
He didn’t move, didn’t defend himself. His silence was all the confirmation they needed !!
Petra pressed on. “This evidence has been sent to all territories. Every Alpha, every Beta, every wolf now knows what’s happening here. You cannot deny the truth when it’s spread so far.”
Lilith’s voice broke through the silence, desperate and trembling. “This isn’t fair! She set this up before she left! She’s not even here to face the consequences of her lies!”
Elder Marcus leaned forward, his gaze hard. “And yet, you are here, Lilith. To answer for yours.“8
Lilith turned to Damon, panic etched across her face. “Say something! Tell them the truth!“}
He finally looked up, his expression unreadable. The truth? What’s the point? They’ve already decided.”
“That’s because your silence speaks louder than any words,” Petra snapped. “You think you can climb to Alpha with this shame hanging over your name? Think again.”
I smirked to myself on the ship, feeling their panic as the weight of my actions crushed them. The truth was out, and there was no escaping it
From my place on the ship. I felt their fear spreading like wildfire. The wolves who trusted Damon now questioned him. The Luna’s voice rang out, sharp and commanding, but it was clear even she couldn’t hold back those doubts. She had wanted Lilith for Damon, but not in these ways.
“You’ve done enough, Damon,” Elder Marcus said coldly. “And you, Lilith… you have disgraced your bloodline. The pack will not stand for this.”
Lilith’s scream of frustration echoed through the bond as the elders called for order.
But I wasn’t done. My surprise would soon be delivered.!!

I sent the omege, Selene who I had given some of the dresses Damon sent to me. I instructed Selene to deliver the message during the ceremony and everyone should be present as she delivered it.
I could feel her instruct someone else to do the job. Someone from another territory.
1 bring a message from Lyrial” he announced, his voice cutting through the chatter.
The gathering went silent. Damon’s breath hitched. Lilith shifted nervously.
“Lyria has sent her blessings. The messenger’s words were chosen carefully to reflect shame “She wishes Damon and Lilith happiness as mates. After all, they’ve already committed enough abominations together She has chosen to leave them to their disgrace.”
Gasps filled the room.
“What?” one wolf exclaimed.
“She said what?” another voice cried out
Elder Petra rose to her feet, her face dark. “Explain yourself, messenger. Are you saying Lyria has abandoned Damon?”
The messenger nodded “She left everything behind, elders. And she has sent the evidence of their betrayal to every territory.” Murmurs erupted again, this time louder. The wolves couldn’t believe what they heard.
“Lilith, you snake!” a woman hissed.”
“How could you? She trusted you!”
“She was your Sister. Some of us know your real stories
Damon’s voice was a strained whisper. “She… she sent her blessings?”
“Blessings to mate with the she–wolf you sneaked around with,” the messenger said coldly. “Her words, not mine.”
Lilith’s face flushed red as wolves pointed at her.
“You shameless wolf”
“A snake in the pack!”
Damon tried to speak, but Petra’s voice cut him off. “Silence! You dare bring this shame to our pack? To your bond with Lyria?”
“Damon! You were the Alpha in line. What would other territories think?\–
Lilith’s shrill voice cut in. “Lynia planted all this! She’s trying to ruin us! She-“X
“Enough!” Marcus roared. This isn’t about her. It’s about you!”
I smirked, swirling my tea. “Blame me all you want, Lilith,” I muttered to myself. “It won’t save you.”
The bond buzzed again with Damon’s panic, Lyria couldn’t get the love she needed.
I grinned, letting my wolf’s satisfaction seep through. Oh, Damon. You didn’t expect this from your innocent mate.
“How could you? Sleeping with your Alpha’s mate–your sister” a pack elder growled.
“They deserve to be punished. Revoke all titles
“Where is the Alpha 72
Lilith’s face turned crimson, her lips trembling as she looked around at the judgmental stares. “It’s not-
“Shameless!” someone else shouted.
“If you can’t honour a bond, then you won’t honour your pack when it’s time to lead”
“We don’t want someone who tarnished pur pack’s image
Unable to handle the pressure. Lilith bolted, tears streaming down her face
I stayed long enough to hear the chaos before slipping away. My message had been delivered
The bond trembled, Damon was panicking.
Through the connection, I felt his confusion, his desperation. The whispers, the accusations, the stares–all of it crashing down on him. Then, the sound of his claws scraping the ground as he ran.
“Lyria! Where are you?” Damon’s voice echoed through the trees |
The pack house was behind him now, the crowd murmuring as he bolted. He didn’t care.
“Lyrial” His howl tore through the air
He reached the cabin, panting, throwing the door open, “Lyria
No answer!
The cabin was still, too still, He stumbled into the bedroom, his heart pounding in his chest. Everything was neat, painfully so. His clothes folded, his boots polished. The blanket on the bed was tucked tightly, like I cared even as I left
But his eyes cought it–the broken mirror.
Damon stepped closer, almost out of breath!!
On the mirror, scrawled in deep, angry scratches. The Lyria you knew is dead.
His legs buckled. “No… no, no, no.” He clutched the edge of the dresser, staring at the words. “She wouldn’t leave. She wouldn’t=“” “Where are you?!” His voice cracked as he sprinted to our cabin again. He burst through the door, his claws scraping against the wooden floor.
He went to my side of the bed in cabin, feeling the bed like he could feel me.X

2:22 PM
His voice cracked.!
He turned, scattering everything on the nightstand, his hands shaking. “Lyria! This isn’t.. this isn’t real!” He growled low, his wolf clawing at him from the inside.
The room answered with silence.
“Why didn’t I see it?” His voice broke, softer now, almost a whisper “I cared. I cared about her
He slumped to the floor, gripping the edge of the bed. Memories flashed through his mind–my sad smile, my bitter laugh, the way I begged for him to notice me.
And now, all that was left was this emptiness.
“Lyria…” he whispered,
The connection felt distant now, faint, like I was slipping further away from him. He closed his eyes, his body trembling.
“I was a fool, he muttered. 1 was a damned fool.”
“A stupid one at that” Lyca groaned inside of me.
“Lyria… please,” he murmured, his voice hollow. “Please don’t leave me
The room answered only with silence. Again.
