Chapter 12:
We were still in the water. It seemed like a journey of no return truly.!!
I stood by the edge of the ship, feeling the cool breeze brush against my face. The vast sea stretched out endlessly, but my thoughts were far from the water. I needed to know what was happening in my pack–what Damon was doing, what Lilith was up to. I couldn’t shake the worry gnawing at me.
I turned to the wolf standing beside me, the one who had been sailing with the crew. He was a quiet, older man, his eyes sharp and his movements graceful. I had noticed his add interest in the ship’s mechanics earlier, and something told me he could help.
“Do you know any way I could see what’s going on in my pack? I mean, something that could let me watch them, from here?” I asked, leaning closer, my voice low
“Missing your mate already?“%
He turned to me, his eyes thoughtful for a moment. Then, with a small nod, he motioned for me to follow him.
“You see, not many are as brave as you. Not many are brave to rewrite their fate. Not many are courageous to reject their fate” “Come with me,” he said, and I followed him down into the depths of the ship, the sound of the waves growing distant as we moved further inside.
“What’s your name?” I asked, trailing behind him.

Do you really want to know?” He grinned. It was then I noticed a striking resemblance between him and Jareth
“Never mind” I dismissed it.
He led me to a dark, quiet room filled with strange equipment, much of it covered in dust. Some of the gadgets looked ancient, and I wondered how he even knew how to work them.
“Is this it?” I asked, my curiosity growing.
He chuckled softly, moving to a control panel. “Not exactly. This this is something different. You won’t find this in many places.“” His hands moved quickly, operating the console in a way that felt almost instinctive. He pressed a few buttons, then a large, glowing screen appeared in front of us.
I blinked, staring at the screen. It flickered for a moment, then cleared to show a view of my pack’s territory–trees, the familiar paths, and even the clearing where Damon and Lilith often met. It was as if I were standing right there with them.li
“Wait–how?” My voice was lowe than it seemedin my head, but the wolf just smiled
“This is a gift of the werewolves, one not many know about,” he said softly “I know how to tap into it.“}
I took a step closer, my eyes glued to the screen. It was amazing, like magic. For the first time in days, I could see everything–feel connected again.
Using the connection to hear their voices and catch up with what was happening was disgusting.
I smiled, tuming to the wolf beside me. “This is incredible. I can see them. I can see everything”
He gave a quiet chuckle, his eyes warm but still guarded. “I’m glad you’re happy.”
I paused, feeling a strange connection in the air, as if the ship itself was alive with energy. “Do you have any dreams? Something you’re working toward?” I asked, suddenly curious about him.||
He met my gaze and shook his head. “Not yet,” he replied with a soft laugh, his eyes distant. “But one day, maybe.“2
I nodded, my mind racing. For now, I had the chance to watch over my pack, to see them from afar. And that was something- something I hadn’t had in a long time.
It was something I never thought about
I watched Damon on the screen. He was in the healer’s den, opening cabinets fast. His face was tight, like he was looking for something important. He grabbed jars and looked at them quickly, like he couldn’t find what he wanted.
“These… these are hers,” Damon said, holding a jar in his hand. He stared at it like he was confused. “Why did she need this?”
I saw him grab another jar and open it, looking inside. He looked like he was searching for answers. He kept talking to himself. “Where is it?” he mumbled, tossing things around. He was mad at himself. “Where is the rest of it?
I stayed still, watching. Damon was running around, opening drawers, and looking under things. He pulled out something small. I saw the bottle of medicine. It was the same one I used. The one for my skin and bruises.
“This… this is it, Damon whispered, holding it in his hand. His voice sounded sad. “She took this before she left.“%
He dropped the bottle back down, and his face looked so upset. “I should’ve known. How could I not see it?”
Damon walked back and forth, his hands in his hair. He looked like he was blaming himself.
“Why didn’t she tell me? She was hurting, I should’ve been there.”
I didn’t say anything. I just watched him. He kept walking and talking to himself, but I didn’t feel anything. I didn’t feel sad or angry. just watched him feel guilty.
“She shouldn’t have been alone, Damon said, sounding like he really cared. “I should’ve known she needed help.”
He stopped for a second, his face full of regret. “She was so delicate. I didn’t even see it. How could I not see?“!
He shook his head, his hands covering his face. “I failed her.“X
I still didn’t say anything. I stayed quiet, staring at the screen. Damon was blaming himself, but I couldn’t feel what he felt. It didn’t matter now. I was too far away.

Finally, Damon stopped and left the healer’s den. He was still looking down, like he was lost, I stayed where I was, not moving. After watching him, I knew I had to check on Lilith, knowing she would be doing something more stupid.
I focused on the Alpha’s headquarters, the place that held Lilith and my memories.
I watched the screen, and there was Lilith, pacing back and forth in her chamber, her hands shaking with anger. She was throwing a tantrum, shouting at the top of her lungs.
“I can’t believe she did this to me!” Lilith yelled. “All I did was love her, and this is how she repays me?“}
I saw her face plastered with anger, her eyes held flames. “She framed me! I was nothing but kind to her and now I’m the villain?
I felt a small smirk curl on my lips. I wasn’t sure if Lilith really believed her own lies or if she was just trying to convince herself more than others.
The Luna, mother stood by the door, her face full of pit, her hands reaching out to comfort Lilith. “It’s not your fault, darling,” she said softly, trying to calm her down. “Lyria will pay for what she’s done. She won’t go unpunished. I’ll make sure of it.7%
Lilith wiped away a tear, her face softening for just a moment. She threw herself into mother’s arms. “Thank you, Mother. I’ve always tried to protect her. I didn’t deserve this. But I’ll forgive her… when she realizes she was wrong”
“Maybe I was too harsh?” Lilith’s voice was too soft for the wickedness that full her heart. “No….she needed to be corrected when wrkng. And she was always wrong” Mother smiled.
I laughed quietly to myself, shaking my head. It was pathetic, really. Mother was so blind to Lilith’s manipulation. She couldn’t see that Lilith was hiding behind sweet words, pretending to be the innocent one. If only she knew the truth.
Lilith was so good at acting, but I knew the real her. The one who wanted everything I had. She’d always been jealous. Always trying to take what wasn’t hers.
Mother kissed Lilith’s forehead, giving her a soft smile. “Don’t worry, darling. We’ll fix this.”
Once mother left, I felt a shift in the air. I could see a figure enter Lilith’s room. An Omega. The same Omega that Damon had sent, if I wasn’t mistaken.
Lilith looked up, her expression changing quickly from sadness to surprise. “You’re here already?”
The Omega bowed his head respectfully. “I have a message from Damon.”
Lilith’s face tumed pale, her eyes wide. “Damon?
The Omega nodded. “He said you’ve done enough. He doesn’t want to see you again. He only wants Lyria.“!
The words hit me like a stone. Damon, He didn’t want Lilith anymore. He only wanted me.”
I felt something in my chest, but I quickly shook it off. There was no time for emotions. The Omega turned and left, leaving Lilith. standing there, shocked. Her mouth opened, but no words came out
And in all of these victories and revelations, my wolf was the happiest. Still looking for opportunities to rip her apart.8
