Chapter 16%
The loud thud against my door jolted me from sleep. My wolf stirred immediately, claws itching to the surface as a low growl rumbled in my throat
“My lady!” a voice called, urgent and rough. “Get up! They’ve found us!”
My eyes snapped open, and I lunged for the blade under my pillow, the instinct to fight blazing through me. The blade was a treasure I have had since when I was a pup, and on many occasion it had come to my rescue.
The door creaked open just as I crouched on the bed, ready to pounce.!
“Easy! Easy, it’s me!” Foggy held up his hands, a lopsided grin plastered on his scruffy face. He was holding a stearning mug of tea and a plate of meat !
I glared at him, my claws halfway out before I forced myself to pull them back. My chest still heaved, my heart racing from the scare “Foggy.” I hissed, sitting up but keeping my knife close. “Don’t ever do that again! Do you have any idea what I almost did to you?” “First, my name is Austin, not Foggy Don’t use endearing terms for me. We would soon part our ways.“”
“I mean it….I am not joking!” I warned, fully irritated.
He chuckled, unbothered “What? Tear my head off? I thought I’d take my chances.”
“That’s not funny,” I snapped, taking the tea and plate from him. “I didn’t vanish from my pack just so you could wake me with false alarms!“?
“All right, all right,” he said, holding his hands up in surrender, though his grin didn’t fede. He looked very much like a troublesome pup. “But you might wanna hear this one. There’s a message from your pack.”

I froze, the tea halfway to my lips. My wolf stirred again, curious and wary. “A message? From who?“!
“Didn’t ask,” Foggy said with a shrug, leaning casually against the wall. “I’m just the delivery guy. But they said you’d want to check it
“You didn’t catch the scent?” I raised my brows
“An Omega. you have once connected with her through mind link or something” He answered.
“I think your people want you home. You have caused a lot of tension. He casually raised his hands.
“It’s not your business. Just do your job. You talk too much for a Rogue. Pretty sure if we were really being attacked, you would run to hide”
“It’s a joke? It better be. It wouldn’t take me a second to rip you apart if I wanted to.” He raised his brow, challenged.
I set the tea down and swung my legs off the bed, already moving toward the door. “Where is it?”
“Hold up,” Foggy said, stepping in front of me. “You’re not gonna eat first? I brought the good stuff this time. Cooked it myself.”
I shot him a glare “Foggy move
She-woll reigning was never a good idea. You all act based on emotions. No logic” He shook his head.
“Are you taking me there?” I was more imitated.&

The ship creaked under our feet as we made our way up the narrow staircase. The salty breeze hit me as soon as we stepped outside, the morning sun casting golden light over the restless waves.
I snatched the scroll and untied it quickly, my hands shaking slightly as I unrolled the parchment. Foggy watched me, his usual smirk replaced by something more serious.
“What’s it say?” he asked.
I scanned the words, my stomach tightening with every
“Lilith claimed she was carrying Damon’s pup”

I held the scroll tight in my hand, running across the deck as the wind whipped past me. My heart pounded, my wolf restless, pushing me forward, When I reached the screen, I slammed my hand on the panel, and Damon’s cabin flickered into view.
I froze.
There, on the bed, was Lilith.!
She wasn’t just sitting there. She was wearing my clothes. The soft blue tunic Damon gave me after the mating ceremony hugged her like it was hers. My jewelry sparkled on her neck and wrists. Even her hair was styled in loose waves, just like mine.
My wolf let out a sharp growl in my chest, and I clenched my fists to keep her from surfacing. “What is she doing? I hissed under my breath.!!
“Trying to be you,” Foggy muttered behind me, handing me the tea he’d brought earlier./
I took it without a word, my eyes fixed on the screen.
Lilith rose from the bed, her movements deliberate as she started pulling items from a bag. One by one, she placed her things around the cabin. My jaw tightened as I watched her toss my belongings onto the floor like they were trash.
“She’s…she’s throwing my things out,” I said, my voice shaking.X
