Chapter 22%
My hands gripped the edge of the table, refusing to look away from the screen. The images moved, and I leaned in closer, ignoring the aching in my chest. Foggy was leaving tonight–I knew that. But I didn’t care. Not now!
The screen showed Damon rushing into the healer’s den, Lilith’s limp body draped in his arms. I bit my lip to stop the laugh that threatened to escape when Damon stumbled–no, pretended to stumble–and dropped her flat on the ground. Her face hit the dirt with a loud thud.5
I gasped, my hands closing my eyes. Lyca jumped happily inside of me like she was waiting for this moment. Lyca, my wolf took this personal because, Lilith’s wolf had injured her once when we were pups.
“Oops,” Damon muttered, stepping back like he didn’t just drop his mate like a sack of potatoes.
“Damon….my pup would die…please don’t do this” She begged, biting her lips till she tasted blood.:
“It wasn’t supposed to be there in the first place. You were a misste, and that pup is a big mistake. Only a pup from Lyria will I accept Only Lyrial
Lilith screamed, clutching her ribs as the healer darted out, panicked.B
“She’s hurt badly the healer gasped, kneeling beside Lilith
“No kidding.” I muttered to myself, a smirk tugging at my lips.
Lilith’s cries filled the air as they carefully lifted her. Her blood–soaked clothes clung to her, her loose wave hair like mine plastered against her pale face. But it wasn’t the pain that caught my attention. It was her eyes–red, furious, and locked onto Damon like she wanted to rip him apart.
“Damon,” she hissed through clenched teeth. “You’ll pay for this
“You will regret this….I trusted you. Loved you. Supported you… I wanted you to be the next Alpha like you have always dreamt.“) Damon just smiled, that same cruel smile he always wore. He crossed his arms, watching as they carried her away.X
“I hope you lose it,” he said coldly, loud enough for everyone to hear. But then didn’t dare question Damon.
I sat back, joy bubbling in my chest. They were tearing each other apart, and I loved every second of it!
“Oh, Lilith,” I whispered to myself, shaking my head. “You should’ve known better…. Payback exists. The moon goddess is generous with it
I leaned closer to the screen, catching Damon as he turned to leave the healer’s den. He looked tired, annoyed, like dealing with Lilith was the last thing he wanted.
“You’re supposed to care, Damon,” I said mockingly, even though he couldn’t hear me. “She’s your new mate the one that replaced me, remember?“%

anything. I wanted more.
A knock at the door pulled me from the screen. I growled under my breath, annoyed.!!
“Who is it?”
“It’s me, Foggy” his soft voice replied.}}
I froze, my heart skipping a beat, I didn’t move, didn’t answer!
“My lady?” he called again. “Can I come in?
