“Never heard that name before. It seems your senses are very sharp and you remember every little details” He noted.
“It was a skill I had to acquire…a very necessary one but it became dormant Under my nose, a lot happened and I could do nothing about if I smiled
“Lilith?” He called, confused.
“My sister,” I explained. “She ran straight to our mother and told her I’d gone off with some strange pup.” My hands clenched at the memory. “I got punished for days. I had wounds all over. My mother was so furious, she told me never to wander again.”
“Ohh.. I remembered she looked like trouble herself” He remarked.X
Nok stared at me, his smile fading as the memory seemed to click for him too. “You’re kidding.“2
“I wish I was,” I said, looking away. “I couldn’t even shift for weeks after that. But you-“I turned back to him. “You just disappeared. I never saw you again.”
He let out a shaky breath, his voice softer now. “My mother found me that same day and took me back. She never let me leave her side again.”
For a moment, the mountain air was all we could hear. Then he smiled, and it lit something warm in my chest. “Tve been looking for you ever since, you know.”
I blinked at him, stunned. “You have?
“Of course I have,” he said, grinning. “You were my hero, remember? You saved me
I laughed, shaking my head. “You’re exaggerating. I just gave you some food.”
“To me, it meant everything,” he said quietly.
The way he was looking at me made my cheeks burn. I glanced away, trying to focus on anything but him. “You’re impossible.” I muttered
“And you’re stubborn,” he shot back, laughing i
“But you had multiple personalities then you were mostly quiet and kep to yourself you still for that” He commented X
I couldn’t help but smile. It was strange, but for the first time in a long time, I felt… light. Like the weight of everything wasn’t crushing
me anymore.
Without thinking, I shifted back into my wolf form, letting out a laugh that echoed through the mountains. The cold wind felt good against my fur, and for a moment, I forgot where I was.
“Lyria- Nok’s voice snapped me out of my daze.
I looked down and realized, too late, that I’d been standing near the edge of the cliff. My paws scrambled, but the ground beneath me
gave way.
Before I could fall, a strong pair of arms caught
it me, pulling me back. The next thing I knew, I was flat on my back, Nok’s weight pressing down on me.!!
He was still holding me, his breath coming out in quick puffs. “Are you crazy?” he snapped, his voice filled with panic. “You could’ve fallen
I stared up at him, my heart racing–not from fear, but from the way he was looking at me. His golden eyes burned into mine, and for a moment, neither of us moved
“Thanks,” I whispered, my voice trembling.
Nok sighed, his breath brushing against my face. “Don’t scare me like that again, Lyria”
“I won’t,” I promised, a small smile tugging at my lips
He didn’t move, his eyes searching mine like he was trying to memorize every detail. “You’re something else,” he muttered. “That can’t be true, it barely two days of meeting the grown Lyrian!
We started walking back to Rudina’s den, the mountain path still crisp beneath my paws. The cool air cut through the trees. It wasn’t just because I had Nok by my side; it was because, for the first time in so long. I didn’t feel alone or have to explain myself!
Nok walked next to me, casually looking around as if everything was just normal. Then, without waming he stopped and crouched down. I watched curiously as he carefully picked a few wildflowers–bright blue and gold, petals soft like silk. Flowers that were rare back in the pack I left.X
They prettier than the ones Rudina and I plucked earlier.
“Here,” he said, holding them out to me with a smile. Thought you might like these.”
“Hmm…the little pup is all grown” I teased, taking it from him)
I blinked at him, my heart giving a little jolt. “You really like picking flowers, huh?”
He grinned. “I like making things beautiful. Especially for you“3
I felt my cheeks flush, but I couldn’t stop the smile that spread across my face. The way he said it–so simple, but so real. “Thank you, Nok. These are… gorgeous, }
As we continued walking. I could feel eyes on us. The wolves in the area would pause, bowing their heads as we passed, I could hear them whispering softly, calling him by a name I didn’t expect to hear.
“Alpha Nok” one of them mummured as we walked by.

“Alpha Nok,” one of them murmured as we walked by
I froze mid–step, turning to Nok in shock. “Alpha Nok?l
He looked at me, his expression casual but a small, knowing smile tugging at his lips. “Yeah. Surprised?“}} “Surprised?” I nearly tripped on a loose rock as I gawked at him. “You’re the Alpha of the biggest territory in Wereworld?” He laughed, his deep voice low and easy. “Yeah, I guess that’s me. But I’m not the type to throw it in people’s faces.” “Not when I gave you the worst first impression but you can’t blame you, you had some mixed scent of a Rogue’s
