Like a man possessed, he sped home. The moment he stepped inside, the silence pressed down on him. The house was empty.”
The day they argued and started fighting, Zara came back and was here to pack her bags.
She was serious. She was really gone.
“Zara!” he called, his voice echoing in the still air. “Zara Clare!”
No answer. No footsteps. Just emptiness.
His legs gave out beneath him and as he collapsed to the floor, something caught his eye–a small glint of silver under the coffee
Her wedding ring.

a large company. More than that, he can’t support a family that has already fallen into disrepair. In his helplessness, he chose to escape. He drinks himself into a stupor every day. He hugged Zara’s photo and cried bitterly.
One night, deep in his drunken stupor, the door creaked open.
A slender figure stepped inside.
A familiar scent filled his senses and his heart, so long frozen in grief, thudded wildly in his chest.
He hugged the person he came to tightly in his arms and kept talking about his thoughts and love.
Tears filled his eyes as he pulled her into his arms, clinging to her like a lifeline.
“Zara, you are finally come back,” he choked out. “You don’t know how much I have missed you. I can’t do this alone anymore.“}] His voice trembled. “Grandpa was very sick, the company’s affairs were weighing me down and when I arrived home, I couldn’t see you. I really don’t know what to do anymore.“}]
His grip tightened around her.
“Don’t leave me again, okay?” he pleaded. “I will change. I swear, I will change. No more going out, no more drinking, no more other women. We’ll start over. We’ll have another child, and this time, I will do it right. We’ll be a family again.”
