Chapter 36
Kristina just hooked the SD card with her finger, holding it firmly. “I can play nice when I’m in a good mood, but if I’m not? I’ll hand this over to Belinda and let her decide who’s in the wrong. By then, your whole family might be out on their ears.
Iris, having been a noblewoman for far too long, had never been bullied by someone younger like this. Her face twisted in rage as she stammered, “Y–you’re such a-”
Kristina sneered, cutting her off. “Don’t even think about using any schemes. I know you’ve been with the McClain family for many years and have many loyal followers, But if I’m mistreated, I’ll assume you’re behind it.
“You better keep your people in line, and get that medical team to back off. And as for the servants, they’d better behave themselves and act properly.”
Kristina’s gaze was razor–sharp, her voice icy. “I’m sure your people have already filled you in–Trenton’s back to his old self. And trust me, he’s way more ruthless than I am. If you don’t want to end up ruined, you’d better watch your step.”
Ignoring Iris’s sour expression, Kristina gave a slight smirk and continued, her words cutting deep. “I know Charlie loves to party and hasn’t shown you what real affection looks like.
“But my husband is different. He genuinely adores me, cherishing me like a precious treasure–too precious to lose.”
Right then, Trenton appeared beside Kristina, as if he’d sensed something. He radiated a cold, commanding presence- more like a powerful god than an eight–year–old boy. His eyes were sharp and icy, with none of the childish innocence you’d expect.
Iris’s heart jolted. “Trenton has indeed recovered!
Kristina suddenly softened, snuggling into Trenton’s chest and acting adorably sweet. “Honey, what if someone bullies me?”
“Then let her die,” Trenton responded curtly, his cold eyes glaring at Iris, serving as a clear reminder of his warning.
With her chin held high, Kristina proudly took Trenton’s arm and strutted off.
Iris seethed with anger. ‘Was this annoying girl just faking it before? How did she suddenly become so tough? Every word out of her mouth felt like a knife to the chest–damn her!‘
At that moment, Kristina’s phone rang. An anxious voice on the other end said, “Boss, someone’s causing trouble at the charity organization.”
“Hold on, I’m on my way.” Kristina’s brows knitted together, her expression hardening in an instant. ‘How dare someone cause trouble at my organization?‘
She hung up the phone and turned back around, warmly draping her arm around Iris’s once more under the watchful eyes of the socialites.
Iris had no idea what Kristina was up to, but before she could process it, she was yanked into a corner of the hallway. She barely had time to blink before Kristina’s hand cracked across her face in a sharp slap.
Iris was completely stunned. “You actually dared to hit me?”
Kristina’s face was cold, her eyes blazing with fire. “I told you, if I’m unhappy, don’t expect things to go well for you.”
“You little brat, you—” Iris began, raising her hand to hit Kristina. But Kristina pulled out the memory card and waved it lightly in front of her, saying, “What, do you want your son to end up in jail?”
Iris’s hand paused mid–air, the threat frozen on her lips. She felt trapped, caught in the web of Kristina’s power play.

Chapter 36
Kristina shot her a direct look. “Did you have anything to do with the trouble my charity is in?
“Have you lost it? What does your charity’s mess have to do with me? Didn’t you just say you’d only pin family stuff on me? Iris snapped, her temper flaring. She couldn’t believe Kristina was blowing this out of proportion
I’ve changed my mind. No matter how I’m not happy, I’m putting it all on you.” Kristina was bold and unapologetic, no one wouldn’t stand a chance against her.
Iris felt her fury boil over. This brat thought she could play dirty? Does she really think I’m a pushover?
Just as Iris lifted her hand again, Trenton suddenly grabbed her wrist from behind. The grip was painfully fight, and it felt like her bones might break. Her face twisted in agony.
Kristina moved in closer, her eyes gleaming like stars but sharp with intensity. “If I didn’t have dirt on Stanley. I wouldn’t be this bold. Besides kidnapping me, he’s done way worse. Care to guess why he decided to record it all
With a sly grin, Kristina shot Iris a raised eyebrow, then hooked her arm through Trenton’s and walked off with a confident stride.
Iris, standing frozen in place, felt like she was losing her mind from the frustration
Kristina headed straight to the charity event. As her luxury car came to a stop, a swarm of reporters surrounded her, blocking her way.
