The living room was silent. Trenton didn’t move, still holding his gun on Devin’s head.

“Huh?” Devin frowned, took the test report from the doctor, and looked at Trenton like he was crazy. “This’t you say you were back to normal? Why are you still acting so foolish? Look, I’m her dad. How could I hurt her?”
Devin pointed at the test report in his hand and wanted to slap some sense into Trenton.
Trenton didn’t budge, his voice low and cold. “She can’t speak now. She’s mute. She loved to talk, to argue, and to play pranks. How sad will she be if she can’t do those things anymore?”
Devin was stunned, unable to believe what he was hearing. “Explain what happened, he demanded, waving everyone else away. It was just him and Trenton now.
On the other side, Tessa brought some doctored cereal to the hospital to see Stanley. As she passed the maternity ward, she spotted Kristina.
Her eyes widened in surprise, and she quickly pulled out her phone to call Lisa. “Mom, I saw Kristina at the maternity ward She looks like she’s pregnant…”
“What?” Lisa, who was lounging at home watching TV, was stunned. She thought, ‘How could Kristina be pregnant?
‘If Kristina came to the hospital on her own, she must have noticed something was wrong. She’s probably at least a month or two pregnant.
‘But Trenton was in a coma during that time. How could that have happened? Oh no, could it be Stanley’s baby?
Lisa couldn’t sit still and immediately called her husband, John.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Kristina was talking to her doctor about her condition. “Every time I get my period, my stomach hurts really bad. I want to get checked out and see if there’s something wrong. Maybe there’s a way to fix it.”
Since she was already staying at the hospital, she decided to get a thorough check–up and try to fix a
alth issues.
Kristina had caught a cold when she was young, and her period was really tough for her. Her period was coming up, and she wanted to be prepared.
After the check–up, she walked out to see Trenton waiting for her in the waiting area, his breathing a little uneven.
“Did you have a stomachache or something? You were in there a long time,” she asked.
“No, I’m fine. How about you?” Trenton replied.
“The doctor said I might need some traditional medicine, but I have to wait until my allergic reactions are gone before I can get a more detailed check–up. Can you go to see the doctor with me,” Kristina asked.

“Okay.” Trenton nodded.
They walked together, but as soon as they left the ward, Kristina saw Lisa and John rushing toward them.
“Kristina, come here. I need to talk to you,” John said, nodding at Trenton before pulling Kristina aside. Lisa tried to block Trenton, putting on a fake smile and making small talk to buy time.
John pulled Kristina into a corner and got straight to the point. “You need to get rid of that baby,”
“Dad, what are you talking about? What baby?” Kristina was confused, not understanding what he meant.
“Don’t play dumb with me. Whose baby is it in your belly? I bet you don’t even know if it’s Trenton’s or Stanley’s,” John whispered harshly.
“You’ve only been with Trenton for a few days since he came to. No one would believe you got pregnant that fast!” snapped John.
