Chapter 98
Seeing the tense situation, Adam, as a perspective child, had a good understanding of the situation, immediately walked toward Sandra and clung to her leg.
He said pitifully, “Mom, my classmates say I don’t have a mother. They all bully me! However, when they know I’m the young master of the Wilson Family, they all want to be my friends. I don’t want to go back to Filici Country.“}
He tilted his head up and, looked at her in sadness. Morgan gave Anna a subtle look and she quickly wrapped herself around Sandra’s other leg and pleaded.§
Sandra looked down at them. Never for a moment had she regretted giving birth to them. However, these children, her children, had already lost their innocence under Morgan’s influence.
Sandra took a deep breath, lifted her gaze to look at Morgan and said, “The children are innocent. I’ll take care of them from now on. You can go back to Filici Country first.“}
Morgan’s face instantly darkened, but he quickly switched to a desperate, pleading look as he whined, “Sandra, I love you so much. I gave up my career for you. I stayed home to raise the kids and waited for you. How can you just abandon me like this?“}
Sandra looked him in the eye, her voice cold when she said, “First of all, Morgan. I never asked you to wait for me and I certainly never asked you to give up your career. Do you remember our original agreement?“}
Morgan’s gaze flickered for a moment. Back then, he had coaxed Sandra into having children. He promised that she would never have to worry about them and that he wouldn’t interfere with her family. He had been certain that with his sweet words and the presence of the children, Sandra would eventually abandon that useless Regan.§
He never expected her to care so much about Regan. Only after Regan left the house just for a few days, did she panic and want to drive him away.
There was no such thing as an easy way.
Morgan’s eyes darted around before he quickly adjusted his expression, his eyes turned red.§
“Alright, Sandra, I’ll do as you say. I’ll go back to America and never return. From now on, Adam and Anna are in your hands.“}
He wiped the corners of his eyes and turned toward the door.
Immediately, Adam and Anna threw themselves at him. They were wailing and clinging to him, refusing to let go.
Morgan, holding back his tears, ruthlessly pried Adam and Anna’s hands away and pushed them toward Sandra.
With deep sorrow in his eyes, he looked at Sandra and said sadly, “Sandra, I love you. I don’t want to make things difficult for you. You and Regan can be together now. It’s just… well, Adam and Anna have never been apart from me before. It’ll be hard for them. Please don’t be too harsh on them. Be patient and they’ll eventually get used to it.“}
He wiped his eyes again and pretended to turn and leave.}
Just as Sandra was hesitating, Adam suddenly let out a piercing wail and shouted something shocking, “Dad, don’t leave me! I want to find my mom!”
As he spoke, he clenched his fists and started pounding them against Sandra. “You’re a bad woman! Get lost! I want my mom!“}
