Chapter 10
Seeing Jaxon shift his focus, Henry quickly tried to deflect, attempting to distance himself from the situation.

“Yes, it’s all her fault!
“Mr. Rivers, Mrs. Rivers was already eight months pregnant. She lied about being six months along to avoid distracting you. Ruby knew about this, so when Mrs. Rivers‘ water broke, she took advantage of it and asked me to lie, saying Mrs. Rivers had wet herself.
“When we got to the villa, she even told me to have Mrs. Rivers get rid of the baby, saying the Rivers family’s firstborn could only come from
her.
“Then she asked me to get rid of Mrs. Rivers‘ body, saying it would be better with no evidence.
“Mr. Rivers, I was just doing my job, taking money to avoid disaster. If you’re angry, blame Ruby, not me!
“Please, I beg you, spare me this time! I’ll never do it again!”
At these words, Jaxon tightened his fists but then slowly loosened them.
He smiled coldly, speaking in a soft tone, “Spare you? Sure, but only if…”
At a possible chance, Henry’s eyes brightened.
“I’ll do anything, anything at all if you spare me!”
The next moment, Jaxon’s icy voice rang out.
“Unless… you die.”
Before Henry could react, Jaxon gave the order.
In the blink of an eye, a dozen or so bodyguards burst into the room, beating Henry senseless with fists and kicks, slapping him relentlessly, and even using a fruit knife to stab at him.
In the end, Henry had his ears cut off, his tongue severed, and his limbs hacked off, leaving him as a lifeless stump.
Henry died from endless pain and despair.
Once Henry was dealt with, Jaxon immediately drove to Ruby’s house.
Seeing Jaxon, Ruby couldn’t hide her joy.
“Jaxon, I knew it! I knew you still cared about me…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Jaxon slapped her hard across the face.
Stunned, Ruby held her cheek, looking pitiful.
“Jaxon, did I do something wrong?”
Jaxon gave her a cold glance and said, “Cut the act. I know everything you did! Henry confessed it all!
“How could you be so vicious, not even sparing a pregnant woman and her unborn child?”
Realizing her actions were exposed, Ruby no longer bothered pretending. She laughed coldly.
“Yes, it was me! But it’s not my fault. Olivia coveted something that wasn’t hers!
“You’re mine, and Olivia was just a substitute. How dare she think she could have you? She doesn’t deserve you!”
Jaxon’s eyes turned bloodshot as he slapped Ruby again, this time grabbing her neck in a tight grip.
“You murderer! You killed Olivia and the baby. I’m going to kill you and bury you with them!”
His grip tightened even more, but Ruby, now furious, spat at him.

“It’s you who can’t control yourself! You’re the one who’s heartless. Why blame me?
“If I’m the killer, then you’re the accomplice! If you hadn’t let me do it, Olivia wouldn’t be dead!”
“Shut up! Shut your mouth!”
Ruby retaliated with even nastier words.
“What’s wrong, Jaxon? Do you have the guts to do it but not to admit it? You’re pathetic!”
Jaxon’s fury reached its peak. In a fit of rage, he grabbed a kitchen knife and swung it at Ruby.
Blood sprayed as Ruby didn’t even have time to scream before falling silent.
Realizing what he had done, Jaxon quickly threw the knife aside.
“It’s not my fault. You forced me! You had it coming…”
Afterward, he changed into clean clothes and fled the crime scene.
He drove straight to the crematorium, grabbing the staff member’s hand.
“Where’s Olivia’s ashes?”
The staff member looked confused. “Olivia’s ashes? Didn’t we scatter them?”
Jaxon’s eyes reddened, and he was not willing to give up. He pressed on, “Then… her belongings? Didn’t you tell me to come pick them up?”
“They were thrown away as well.”
Jaxon’s anger flared, and he yelled, “That was my wife! Who told you to throw them away?!”
The staff shot Jaxon a look and snapped, “Wasn’t it you who told us to throw it all away?”
Jaxon suddenly remembered that, on that day, he had indeed told the staff over the phone to dispose of the ashes and belongings.
His eyes reddened, and in a frenzy, he dug through the nearby trash bins, desperately searching for remnants of my ashes and belongings.
But the trash had already been cleared, and nothing was left.
Defeated, Jaxon collapsed to the ground, tears streaming down his face.
He raised his hand and slapped himself across the face again and again.
“I’m sorry, Olivia. It’s all my fault!
“I not only trusted the wrong person, but I also killed you and our child with my own hands. And then let them scatter your ashes… You must have been in so much pain. I’m a monster…”
I looked at Jaxon’s confession with cold eyes.
What good was his regret now? I didn’t care anymore.
“Olivia, in this life, I wronged you. If there’s a next life, I will love you properly…”
With those words, he charged at the wall, his head smashing into it. Blood poured out, and after a couple of spasms, he was gone.
The moment Jaxon took his last breath, I suddenly found that I could move freely.
Just as I was about to enter heaven and prepare for reincarnation, I heard Jaxon’s voice behind me.
Turning around, I saw Jaxon’s soul.
Turning around, I saw Jaxon’s soul.
“Olivia! I finally found you!
“It was my fault. Can you forgive me? Please, give me another chance.”
I scoffed and pushed him away.
“Jaxon, I will never forgive you, nor will I forgive you for what you did to our child.
“From now on, you will have no place in my life. We will never meet again!”
With that, I ignored Jaxon’s cries and, without looking back, entered heaven.
As the dark clouds parted and flowers bloomed, my brand–new life was just beginning.
