Kristina rolled her eyes and scoffed, “I’m not pregnant.”

Iris glared at her. The proof is right there. Are you seriously still lying?”
“Iris, are you that desperate to blame this on your own son?” retorted Kristina.
“Whether it’s his or not, we’ll know once we get it checked. By the way, I know a skilled doctor.”
Kristina raised an eyebrow. “A skilled doctor?”
“He’s James Howe, the skilled doctor’s student,” Iris said, sticking her nose in the air. “Even a student is pretty amazing. How about we let him check and see if you’re really pregnant?”
James Howe? What a coincidence. Isn’t that my senior?‘ thought Kristina.
Still, Kristina put on a frustrated face. “I told you. I’m not pregnant!”
Then Belinda spoke up, “I believe Kristina isn’t pregnant.”
Belinda had seen enough of life to know what mattered. Whether Kristina was pregnant or not didn’t matter right now. She just had to act like Kristina wasn’t pregnant.
Trenton still needed time to heal, and Kristina was now fully devoted to him. To keep the McClain family stable, she needed to stay by Trenton’s side.
“Enough! This is all nonsense. You all can leave now. I trust Kristina,” said Belinda.
“Belinda, we can’t just brush this off. Dr. Howe is already here. Why not let him check on Kristina? Better to be sure,
right?”
Iris glanced at Trenton, who looked seriously ticked off, and felt even more satisfied. “We can’t mess up the family lines. We can’t have Trenton raising Stanley’s child, can we?”
She quickly made a phone call and even sent a car to pick James up. Fifteen minutes later, a young guy carrying a medical kit showed up at the
mansion.
In his early twenties, James looked pretty laid–back. If it weren’t for the special wooden badge of the skilled doctor around his neck, he’d probably
be mistaken for a con artist.
After hearing the story, James sat down and started checking Kristina’s pulse. The living room was dead silent, with everyone’s eyes glued to her wrist. James’s face was serious as he felt her pulse over and over.
Trenton stood right beside Kristina, his eyes practically shooting daggers at James.
If it weren’t necessary to prove Kristina’s innocence in front of everyone, he wouldn’t have let James touch her wrist. He trusted Kristina completely. She was his wife, and she could only have his kids.
After a few seconds, the guy sighed deeply. “It’s still very early, so it’s hard to tell, but there’s a good chance she is pregnant.”
Kristina’s face twisted in confusion. She thought, ‘James is too unreliable. He has only recently joined his master and is still acting like a spoiled brat.‘
Her heart skipped a beat as she remembered how James had prescribed medicine for Trenton before. She started to panic a little. ‘Could it be that it didn’t work? she wondered.
“Doctor, are you sure? Am I pregnant?” Kristina asked.
James raised his eyebrows slightly and looked at Kristina carefully. “Yeah, you’re pregnant.”
Belinda nearly fainted from the shock, her vision going dark for a moment. Someone nearby caught her just in time.
“Dr. Howe, check Kristina again. Don’t get it wrong.” Belinda said, her voice trembling but trying to stay calm. She even hoped James could catch
her hint
But James was just a straightforward guy. He repeated, ‘I’m sure. She is pregnant, about a week or so. Only I could tell this early. Anyone else wouldn’t have noticed.”
Hearing it was just a week, everyone was stunned. Belinda was the first to react, her face lighting up with joy as she looked at Trenton. “Trenton, this
