Chapter 57
Belinda waved her hand, shooing away the servant who was about to get a needle. “Let’s just forget about it. Logan and Stanley are out of their company jobs. Let them reflect on what they’ve done. Alright, everyone can leave now.”
Relatives started to leave one by one. A few people helped Elaine carry the unconscious Iris to the car. The drama was finally over.

Once everyone left, Belinda patted Kristina’s hand. “Don’t be upset. I didn’t kick them out because things are still unstable. Making things too tense isn’t smart right now.
“You were wronged today, but I know you’re a good girl. Pregnancy is a blessing, and I’m truly happy for you.”
”
Belinda grinned from ear to ear, but she sighed inwardly, glancing at Trenton. He wasn’t quite sharp enough yet and probably didn’t understand what had just happened. Taking care of Kristina would still fall on her shoulders.
After all the drama, Belinda was exhausted. She asked Kristina to tend to the guests and then went upstairs to rest.
“Hey, Doctor, could you check Trenton out while you’re here?” asked Kristina.
James nodded. “Alright. Since I’m here, I might as well check on him.”
James placed his hand on Trenton’s wrist. Trenton was silent, his eyes coldly fixed on James, clearly still sulking because James had touched Kristina earlier.
As soon as James felt the pulse, his expression turned meaningful. “Miss, you’re the one who asked me about a prescription online, right? Just follow the formula I gave you. Take it twice a week for two weeks and see how it goes.”
Kristina nodded. “Thanks, James.”
“Wait, what did you call me?” asked James.
“Sorry, it just slipped out. Seriously, thank you so much today. If it’s convenient, could you leave a business card? I’ll transfer the payment to your account,” said Kristina.
“No need for payment. I’ll get it from whoever invited me. But here’s my card.” James handed Kristina a black business card and then left.
Kristina needed to arrange for Trenton’s medicine, so she let him rest in his room first. The first thing he did was call Devin. “I’ve got a few people I don’t like. Can you help me teach them a lesson?”
Devin was lost for words.
“Trenton, how old are you?” Devin paused, realizing that wasn’t quite right. “Alright, you’re still young, but you need to learn to handle things on your own. Can’t you deal with a few people yourself?”
Devin thought, ‘It’s not that I don’t want to help. Trenton shouldn’t rely on others so much. If he can’t handle a little trouble, how is he supposed to protect Kristina?
Trenton’s face was cold. “But they bullied Kristina…”
Before he could finish, Devin’s voice on the other end exploded. “Who? Who bullied my daughter?”
He already had his weapon ready. Whoever messed with his daughter was going down.
Meanwhile, in the medical room, Kristina was brewing medicine for Trenton and called her assistant, Austin Dickson. “I sent you some info about that mountain in Northwood. Yeah, I want to buy it now. Handle the contract for me.”
After hanging up, Kristina felt a huge weight lift off her shoulders. She’d been eyeing that land for a while, and now she’d finally finished all the prep work and could make it hers.
Her current assistant had followed Austin and was honest and trustworthy. Kristina had complete confidence in him.
Soon, Kristina remembered her good friend Yasmin Fritz. She hadn’t thanked Yasmin for helping her out a few days ago.
She called, and Yasmin picked up right away. “Hey Yasmin, are you busy? I’m really sorry about the other day. You’re amazing for not being mad at me. If you’re free, let’s grab a meal together. My treat! Let’s have some fun.”
Kristina was determined to make it up to her friend.
Yasmin gladly accepted, feeling relieved that Kristina was back on track.

After the medicine was ready, Kristina brought it to Trenton and spoke carefully, “Trenton, I’m going to meet Yasmin and I’ll be back late. Can you stay home by yourself?”
Trenton had the medicine in one go, not acting as clingy as usual. He just nodded obediently. “Sure, go ahead. I’ll be fine at home.”
Kristina suddenly felt that Trenton was acting a bit strange.
