Chapter 64
A faint scent of fruity wine mingled with the fragrance, and Trenton sniffed again, feeling even more dissatisfied. “You went out drinking?”
“I didn’t drink much. It was just low–alcohol fruit wine and won’t have any effect.” Only then did Kristina remember she was pregnant. It was her first time being a mom, and she had no experience. Thinking back, she felt a bit regretful.
Kristina thought, “Thankfully, I’m pregnant only been a week, and the baby is just a tiny cell, so it won’t cause any harm.
Trenton was just a simple guy, upset because Kristina had left him alone at home for so long. He picked her up, holding her from behind, and carried her into the bathroom. “The water’s ready for your bath,” he said.
Every tub in the villa had a built–in heating system that kept the bathwater at a constant temperature, so it never got
cold.
Setting Kristina on the edge of the sink, Trenton unzipped the back of her dress, but she stopped him. “Trenton, no peeking,” she warned.
Trenton became even more upset and forcefully removed Kristina’s dress. “You won’t let me touch you. Could it be that you have another guy? You’re my girl, and you should only be with me.”
Trenton was acting completely like a spoiled child, pouting and holding onto Kristina’s waist, unwilling to let go.
Their position was too suggestive, with only Trenton’s pajamas between them, which didn’t stop the heat from his body from radiating.
Seeing him look like a sad puppy, Kristina felt her heart soften. She wrapped her arms around his neck, allowing him to place her in the bathtub.
Trenton looked at the shelves filled with various body washes and essential oils and asked, “What scent of body wash would you like? Kristina.”
“Let’s go with pomegranate,” Kristina replied.
“Okay.” Trenton got up to get it. On his way back, he slipped on water on the floor and fell, hitting his head against the nearby sink.
“Trenton!” Kristina quickly got out of the bathtub and anxiously checked his wound. “It’s bleeding, Trenton. Are you okay? Wake up!”
Trenton had a gash on his forehead and lay there with his eyes closed while the body wash had rolled to the side.
Kristina thought, ‘Oh no, hopefully, it’s not serious. Kristina wrapped a towel around herself and was about to get the first aid kit when she noticed Trenton starting to stir.
Trenton put a hand on his forehead and opened his eyes to look at Kristina, his vision blurry.
“Trenton, are you alright?” Kristina crouched back down beside him, her small hands gently rubbing the bruised area around his injury.
Wrapped in a white towel, Kristina exposed her smooth, fair shoulders, with wet hair clinging to them and droplets sliding down her face and shoulders.
Trenton looked confused and asked hoarsely, “Why are you here?”
Kristina’s hands paused, feeling a bit flustered. She thought, “Trenton was already quite silly. Could the fall have made him even more so?‘
“I got back a short while ago, and you took me inside for a bath. Don’t you remember?” Kristina replied.
Trenton frowned and propped himself up with his arms, pressing his fingers into his temples as if his head was about to explode.
It was like he’d had a long dream, and upon waking up, he couldn’t remember any of it. His memory only went back to the car accident before.
Trenton thought, ‘I had slept for a long time. So, what happened? And why am I with Kristina?”
