Chapter 65
Kristina felt she might not be able to deal with this on her own and said, “Trenton, wait a moment. I’ll go get the doctor
Kristina was about to get up when Trenton grabbed her arm. “Are you going out like that to call the doctor?”
Kristina just wanted to step out to make a call and ask James what this was all about.
Trenton’s sharp eyebrows were knitted tight. Seeing Kristina look so attractive now made him inexplicably irritated. He didn’t want her to go out to meet others look like this.
Furthermore, Trenton couldn’t figure out why he had such a selfish sense of possession over his nephew’s girlfriend. It didn’t make sense, and taking her into the bathroom to bathe her was absurd.
Trenton tried to search through the fragments of his dream as much as he could, but the more he remembered, the more his head ached. “Change your clothes and then call the doctor.”
As he released Kristina, she sensed something was amiss and quickly reached for her phone to contact James.
Soon, Trenton came out of the bathroom, his face gloomy. He sat on the sofa, rubbing his temples, cager to know what happened while he was asleep.
With a sound of knock, Just then, someone knocked on the door.
Kristina put away her phone and went to open the door. Outside was a maid holding a food tray. “Mrs. Bentley, your midnight snack is ready.”
“Okay, give it to me.” Kristina took the tray as Trenton frowned at her, his expression even darker than before.
“What did you just call her?” His cold stare landed on the maid at the door, his sinister presence causing her to shiver instantly.
“Mrs. Bentley,” the maid replied.
Kristina stepped between Trenton and the maid. “This doesn’t involve you anymore. You can go now.” She closed the door and placed the tray on the coffee table before Trenton.
“Kristina, explain to me clearly, what’s happening here?” Trenton’s presence was overwhelmingly intense; if she dared to lie to him, he definitely wouldn’t let it slide.
Kristina looked helplessly at Trenton, who was still upset. She sighed softly, then stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him.
Trenton’s head rested right against Kristina’s chest, with a faint, flowery fragrance tickling his nose as her soft hands gently caressed his back.
“You shouldn’t talk too much to the servants in the future. If there’s anything you’re curious about, you can ask me. Many of them work for Iris,” Kristina said.
