Chapter 11
A year later, I returned home, my studies complete.
I smoothly took the staff from my father’s hands, a symbol of Alpha power, becoming the youngest female Alpha of the Silver Fang pack.
At the celebratory banquet held that night, I met Alpha Dorian Kingston’s Beta, Archer.
Grateful for my earlier rescue of him and the pack, he filled me in on everything that had happened since my departure.
It was only three days after I left that Alpha Dorian Kingston hurried back.
Due to the recent attack by the Black
Eagle pack, the situation had deteriorated severely, much like it had four years ago. They required significant financial and technological support, which is why Alpha Dorian Kingston contacted me again.
No wonder I received that call from him a week later, foolishly hoping I would return.
Fortunately, I had severed all ties when I realized he had lost his mind.
Beta Archer then revealed that the traitor had been found.
It turned out to be Liora Granger. She was actually Alpha Frank’s mistress from the Black Eagle pack, and her alleged terminal illness was nothing more than a meticulously orchestrated ruse; she had bribed doctors and nurses to fabricate the
illusion.
She had conspired with Frank four years ago, delivering the crucial information that led to the massacre of the Black Spine pack.
In other words, Liora Granger had indirectly caused the deaths of Alpha Dorian
Kingston’s parents.
And the so–called world tour a year ago? She had orchestrated that too.
She had stolen the defense schematics to hand over to Frank, deliberately persuading Alpha Dorian Kingston to take her away while leading his elite team into a trap, creating the perfect opportunity for Frank to strike.
It was only when Liora Granger lost her usefulness to Frank that he handed over all the evidence to Alpha Dorian Kingston.
Ultimately, Liora Granger was captured by the Werewolf Council and would be facing a lifetime of imprisonment.
Alpha Dorian Kingston was devastated, completely disoriented and unable to rally the pack again.
Eventually, some werewolves drifted away, and many who had fought alongside me chose to follow him back to my father’s pack.
Life can be so ironic; I never imagined it would end this way.
“What about him?” I asked softly, voicing the concern that lingered in my mind.
“He… he hasn’t been well since then.
Sometimes he’s mad, sometimes he’s lucid,
just wandering aimlessly,” Beta Archer lamented.
Listening to the seismic shifts in their lives, an indescribable chill washed over me.
I was grateful for my clarity, for pulling away in time; otherwise, becoming ensnared in this complex whirlwind would have likely led me to an irretrievable fate.
More than a month later, on a cold, dreary night, I received a call from the police.
They informed me to come identify Alpha Dorian Kingston’s body.
I never expected that in his final moments, Alpha Dorian Kingston would have found a chance to take Frank down with him, leading to their mutual destruction.
The police discovered a letter among his belongings addressed to me.
In it, he wrote that if his suicide note was
found, I was to handle it.
The lines brimmed with his remorse and apology, yet life offers no second chances, and nothing could be undone.
I had envisioned countless scenarios of meeting him again, but I never imagined it would be under these circumstances, with me managing his final affairs.
Thus, my connection with Alpha Dorian Kingston came to a close.
Six months later,
My destined mate finally came to meet my parents to discuss our wedding plans.
A new [unbing–chapter–export] Chapter in my life was about to begin.
The End.
Book 3: After I Suicide by His Torture: The Alpha’s Desperate Leap into the Sea
After his sister Lisa died pushing me out of the way in an accident, Alpha Frank tormented me for five agonizing years. Guilt – ridden, I stayed as his nanny to atone. But when he decided to marry another woman, my world, already crushed by ALS, fell apart. I drowned myself in the sea.
Alpha Frank searched desperately for any sign of me. At the very spot where I’d jumped, in utter desolation, he readied to end his life. Just as he was about to leap, a young boy grabbed his arm. Startled, Alpha
Frank stared at the child, and through the boy’s words, learned I was alive…
