Chapter 9
My parents were shocked and my brother’s eyes were full of disbelief.
He walked over and grabbed my phone with a broken screen and tried to press the play button, but the screen went completely black.
“What recording did you just say? What injustice did you accuse me of? Explain it to me clearly!”
My brother grabbed the manager by the collar and gnashed his teeth.
Eugenia, who had just been lying on the bed pretending to be weak, that time looked pale, as if she had thought of something.
She got out of bed trembling, rushed over to hug her brother and was about to cry.
“When my sister allowed those fans to bully me last night, it should have been recorded.
“I know she resents those haters for hurting her like that, but no one can prove that those people are my fans. Sister, aren’t you afraid that I’ll have psychological trauma by doing this?”
When my brother heard this, pity appeared in his eyes again.
He reached out and stroked Eugenia’s back as he calmed her down, “Don’t be afraid. If that’s the case, then forget about the recording.”
Eugenia breathed a sigh of relief and wanted to say something, but my brother had already stuffed my phone back into his pocket.
My parents were extremely worried and asked the cruise manager if he had seen it clearly and whether I was hiding it on purpose to scare people.
The manager’s face flushed red when he explained, “That’s impossible. That room only has one window, the door is locked and we searched everywhere but could not find the lady. Only that window was open.”
Eugenia did not care, she curled her lips and muttered, “Maybe my sister bribed the gatekeeper to sneak out last night. With her legs and arms broken, how could she have jumped out of the window on her own?
“Perhaps those men who escaped through the window returned to rescue her and took her
away.
“Sister, you’re so foolish! Just to avoid punishment for hurting me, you actually colluded with people like that.”
For the past ten years, she had always been sarcastic and caused me to be misunderstood by my parents and brother.
In the past, they all believed Eugenia’s words unconditionally, but at that moment they started to feel something was wrong.
After all, I was their blood–related family member, so how could they allow Eugenia to frame me in front of outsiders.

“That’s enough! Janette is not that kind of person. I will find out who those people were last night and then the truth will be revealed,” my father interrupted her with a frown on his
face.
My brother also stared at Eugenia with a sinister look as he said, “As for this recording, I will find someone to repair the phone and extract it. Eugenia, she is your sister, you can’t just accuse her of being a fool without any evidence!”
My mother was so anxious that she wiped her tears as she yelled, “Stop talking! Go find my Janette.”
They abandoned Eugenia and rushed to the room where I was held. But all they found were two horrifying, bloody handprints smeared across the window.
The blood was mine, dripping from the wound on my hand as I clenched my teeth and climbed up alone.
I knew then–if I did not leave, this family would eventually kill me for Eugenia. That they were never my family.
My mother rushed to the window, touched the dried blood on it and burst into tears.
A complex emotion flashed across my brother’s eyes as she asked in agony. “Janette, why is she so stupid?!“

“I’ve already told you not to be fooled by her!”
