“Helping you? Who do you think you are? Trying to cozy up to Mr. Harrington?” one of the bodyguards sneered, though there was a trace of uncertainty in his voice.
He quickly added. “Come here now!”
Deep down, they were cautious–What if the girl actually had some connection to Gabriel?
But they reassured themselves with what they’d heard about him from Camron–Gabriel didrft bother with women.
They remembered the incident in Haroy City, where Camron had sent two stunning models to try and win Gabriel over.
Gabriel had sent them back without even glancing at them, leaving Camron humiliated.
With that memory in mind, one of the guards stepped forward, reaching for Serena.
“Don’t make us get rough!” he barked.
Serena trembled, her fear overshadowing her pride. Without thinking, she reached for the edge of Gabriel’s coat, her fingers gripping it tightly.
She begged, “Mr. Harrington… please, help me. I don’t want to go with them.”
Camaron’s bodyguards froze
in their tracks as Cabriel’s men stepped forward, blocking their path.
“Mr. Harrington, are you…?” one of the guards stammered, unsure of how to proceed.
A faint, mocking smile played on his lips as he leaned in slightly his voice low and laced with amusement.
“If I help you, what do I get in return?” he asked.
Serena’s eyes widened in confusion and fear. “What… do you want?
Gabriel’s smile vanished, his expression turning cold. His voice was sharp as he spoke. ‘I’ll take her.”
Without waiting for a response, Gabriel turned and began walking forward, his men following closely behind. Serena, too stunned to protest, followed him obediently.
The bodyguards didn’t dare make a move. They could only watch as Gabriel escorted Serena away.
As they made their way through the loud nightclub, Serena stayed close to Gabriel, careful not to fall behind.
Every step in this unfamiliar place felt like it was pulling her deeper into unknown territory.
The size of the Eternal Club alone was enough to leave her feeling disoriented–without Gabriel, she would have been completely lost.
When the elevator doors slid open, Darren was waiting for them
He glanced at Serena briefly, his expression one of mild surprise but quickly masked it with a polite smile. Nodding at her. –he turned to Gabriel to give an update.
He cleared his throat and started, “Mr. Camron Brock has arrived… I have already had him taken to the side lounge. The others have been dealt with.
Serena couldn’t hear the rest of the conversation.

Gabriel hadn’t spoken to her, since they’d left the corridor. She wondered if he had forgotten she was even there.
“Are you crying?” His voice broke through the silence.
Serena, her head down, didn’t answer at first.
Gabriel’s sharp eyes narrowed as he studied the back of her head, He had been angry when he saw her in that mess.
For a moment, he’d considered leaving her to face her own problems, but seeing her tears made something shift in him.
The harsh words he had wanted to say were replaced by something softer, almost comforting.”

“They won’t bother you as long as you stick with me,” he said, his tone steady but firm. “You’re too timid. Next time, don’t go to places like this”
Serena’s shoulder trembled slightly, and she turned away, clearly upset.
Gabriel frowned, his patience wearing thin. ‘Fine, he thought. ‘No more talking!
But then Serena’s quiet voice broke the silence. “I came here because they were hiring a pianist.”
Gabriel slowed his steps, his interest piqued.
“The job was posted on a major site, Serena explained, her voice small and uncertain. “A lot of my friends use it to find work. All my other part–time jobs came from there, so I thought…”
Her words trailed off when she realized Gabriel wasn’t responding. Not wanting to embarrass herself further, she fell silent Darren led Gabriel’s group into a chaotic private room, a gambling den filled with noise and people.
Gabriel didn’t enter, but Serena, her eyes red but determined, kept a careful distance behind him.
He continued up to the next floor, where Darren opened a door to a room Gabriel paused in the doorway, glancing back at Serena
She hesitated, eyeing the room cautiously. It was sleek and tastefully decorated, exuding a quiet luxury that made her feel out of place.
She had already recovered from the panic, and seemed calm now,
“What’s this?” she asked carefully.
“A lounge,” Gabriel replied, his voice cold. “Wait inside.”
Serena glanced down the dimly lit hallway. Even if she made it down to the first floor, there was no way she could escape the club without running into Camron’s men again.
With a reluctant sigh, she stepped into the room
Gabriel followed her inside, closing the door behind him with a soft click.
As the door closed behind her, Serena felt her heart tremble along with it.
Gabriel seemed to ignore her. He walked straight into the bathroom. Soon, the sound of running water filled the silence of
the room
Serena sank onto the sofa, her gaze drifting to the city lights shining outside the window.
The bright, bustling nightlife of the commercial district seemed so distant from the tension that hung over her.

Suddenly, faint sounds of a woman moaning from the next room broke the stillness. Serena froze, her body stiffening at the sound.
The noises grew louder, more explicit, and she could feel her nerves unraveling.
She tried to block it out, but the sounds clawed at her, making it feel anxious and flustered.
In a desperate attempt to distract herself, she stood up and walked toward the bathroom, hoping to focus on something else.
She didn’t realize that the water had stopped running
Gabriel emerged from the bathroom a moment later, towel wrapped loosely around his waist.
Seeing Serena standing there by the door, her ears flushed a soft pink, he smirked and teased, “Were you trying to sneak a peek!”
“I wasn’t!” Serena quickly protested, flustered.
Gabriel’s cool fingers pinched her earlobe, his voice playful. “Your cars are betraying you.”
Serena flinched, shrinking away defensively. “I wasn’t looking.
She glanced toward the wall, but before she could look away, another round of passionate sounds from the next room assaulted her ears.
Gabriel’s eyes followed her gaze, and a small, amused smile tugged at his lips.
“What are you blushing for? You were just as loud that night,” he said casually, walking over to the bed to change into fresh clothes.
Serena’s eyes widened in shock. “I was not!”
The memory of that night burned in her, both humiliating and maddening.
She’d maybe made a few soft whimpers at most–not even close to the wild cries coming from next door.
Gabriel suddenly changed the subject. “Why did you return the money?”
Serena had gone
the bank to reverse the transfer, unsure how else to contact him.
“I believe in getting what I deserve,” she explained simply.
Gabriel stripped off the towel, and Serena immediately turned away, her face burning.
She explained, “I didn’t see the transfer in the morning. When I came to find you later, I spoke to you the way I did because I didn’t know about it.”
“Why are you here tonight?” Gabriel asked as he dressed.
“I was here as a pianist, Serena replied. “Camron cornered me when I went to the restroom.”
“You hit him?” Gabriel asked, eyebrow raised.
“Yeah. The night we met, I was working at the Rose Garden. He kept touching me and insulting me, so I slapped him. I lost my job because of it.”
Gabriel’s questions came quickly, and Serena answered each one honestly.
The room fell into an uncomfortable silence. Just as Serena thought the conversation was over, Gabriel suddenly grabbed

In the blink of an eye, he pressed her against a low cabinet, his body pinning her in place,

“Is it so hard to get a job? Or are you just desperate for money? that why you came to me?” Gabriel asked, his voice low and probing.
Serena lowered her gaze, nodding slightly in answer.
Gabriel went quiet for a moment, his dark eyes studying her delicate features.
She wore light makeup tonight, and it only enhanced her natural beauty.
There was something about her purity that stirred something deep inside him.
His fingers traced lightly over the soft skin of her neck. “If you need money, I can give it to you,” he said, his voice almost
tender.
Then he continued, “If you think 150,000 dollars is too much, you can… do what you did that night a few more times.
His voice dipped into something sofier, almost seductive.
His eyes were clouded with something Serena couldn’t quite re
Serena stared at him, confusion in her clear eyes.
Gabriel’s hand brushed against her lips, smudging the faint lipstick she’d applied, revealing her natural color.
His Adam’s apple bobbed as he looked down at her, his gaze darkening with something akin to desire.
“Serena,” he murmured, ‘I enjoy making love to you… a lot
Serena’s heart raced wildly in her chest. “I… I don’t like it
Gabriel frowned. “Why? Did I hurt you?”
Yeah,” Serena whispered, her throat tight, her mind a blur.
She couldn’t believe she was having this kind of conversation with him.
Gabriel’s lips curved into a small smile. “You hurt me a bit, too, he said softly.
Serena stared at him in disbelief, her chest tightening. She didn’t buy it for a second.
That night, he had been relentless, like a man possessed. Hurt? Please.
Gabriel’s body radiated warmth as he remained close to her, the proximity making her uneasy. She pushed against him, but he didn’t move an inch
“I’ll be more careful next time,” Gabriel muttered, grabbing Serena’s wrist.
His rough fingers brushed against the delicate skin of her arm.
“They won’t be a next time,” Serena said decisively.
“Because?” he asked.
“I don’t want to earn money like that ever again,” Serena replied firmly.

He lowered himself, his lips brushing the corner of Serena’s mouth. “Do you remember what I taught you last time?”
