“What the hell are you doing in my house?” Antonio hissed in irritation when he walked into the living room of his mansion to find an unexpected guest waiting for him.
He was still angry from what had happened during the day, and the guest was for sure going to add to his anger.
“Well, I heard some very interesting news and I just had to share it with you,” the uninvited guest responded as he poured himself a drink, and Antonio squinted his eyes at him.
“This better be good, Alejandro,” he then said.
“I heard that a big arrogant man got hit in his lower parts today, Alejandro laughed and
didn’t hesitate to grab the nearest thing he could find to throw it at him, to which the former easily deflected after wh… ne burst into laughter.
“How the hell did you find out?” Antonio probed. Sitting in front of him was the man he had been forced to grow up with, his cousin, Alejandro Garcia.
Due to the fact that they were unfortunately born on the same day, they were regarded more as twins than cousins which led to them being forced to do everything together and Antonio especially hated it as Alejandro was a pain in the ass.
The latter had said countless times that his sole purpose for existing was to make Antonio’s life a living hell.
“That’s for me to know and for you to never find out,” Alejandro answered. “So tell me, who was the wonderful woman who finally stood up to you? By the way, will you ever be able to have kids, considering how hard she hit you there?”
“I’m pissed right now, Alejandro, and shooting you sounds wonderful,” Antonio warned as he grabbed the glass in his cousin’s hand and gulped it down in one go.
“Tough luck with that,” Alejandro responded. “But serious question, who the hell is she?” his voice turned serious. It wasn’t every day one encountered such a woman, and his curiosity piqued. They needed to know if the woman was a threat or not
On cue, a man stepped into the living room and when the other two men turned to look at who had come in, they saw Martin, their head of security, and in his hand was a folder.
“Is that the information on the woman?” Antonio immediately probed, and Martin nodded in affirmation as he handed over the folder to his boss.
“I’ll leave you two to it,” he then slightly bowed, after which he left. As soon as he was out, Antonio opened the folder and started to go through it.
‘Zabelle Pierce,‘ he muttered inwardly. So that was her name. His eyebrows then scrunched as that last name sounded. almost like… He paused in his thoughts when his suspicion was confirmed. She was the daughter of Gabriel and Lily Pierce.
“What does it say?” Alejandro inquired.
“Her name is Zabelle Pierce,” Antonio told Alejandro.
“Wait ‘Pierce‘? As in…”
“Yes, the Pierce family,” Antonio completed Alejandro’s words.
“If she’s from that family, how come you didn’t recognize her?” The latter continued to inquire.
“Because she’s the daughter they don’t talk about,” Antonio responded. The Pierce family had three children, but everyone only knew about the two younger children.
Over time, people started to forget about the fact that the Pierce family had an elder daughter, so she wasn’t in the

mainstream media. This must have been why he didn’t recognize her.
“This isn’t good. The Pierce family and ours aren’t allies, so what the hell was she doing at our company?!” Alejandro. frowned..

Antonio hummed before proceeding to read what else the folder contained. As he read further, a sly smile came over his face and he chuckled evilly. When he was done, he handed over the file to his cousin, so the latter could read what he had just read.
“Do you think she is a mole,” Antonio hummed.
According to what he had just read, she wasn’t only the daughter of one of their rivals Norman who belonged to the family who considered the Garcias their arch–enemies
was the girlfriend of Jeremy
Even though their relationship wasn’t made public, his men were good at digging things out.
“That’s a possibility but then again, she doesn’t seem to be talking to her family.
According to what the two men had just read, her family homeschooled her and when she was nineteen she moved out after she got into college.
The fact that she was swimming in debt said a lot considering the fact that her family was worth hundreds of billions. Plus, she’s working…”
“Used to work,” Antonio immediately corrected.
“That was fast,” Alejandro shook his head. “However, there’s a huge possibility she is working for Jeremy, as I don’t think it’s a coincidence that she appeared in the company at the same time Jeremy returned to the country.”
“The fool is back?” Antonio scoffed.
“Yeah, and according to reports, he is taking over, and he is joining his father in their family company,” Alejandro informed Antonio.
“Hmm,” Antonio mumbled thoughtfully as he pondered upon what he had just heard.
“What evil thought is going on in your head,” Alejandro, who knew Antonio all too well, asked.
Standing up, Antonio turned to face Alejandro. “That’s for me to know and for you to never find out,” he used the latter’s own words against him, after which he headed up to his room.
As soon as he was alone, he headed into the shower, where he finally had time to ponder upon the events of the day.
‘I honestly do pity the unlucky woman who will end up with you in the end, Zabelle’s words rang in his ear and he chuckled.
What better way than to get revenge on her? He thought to himself.

The alarm
rang
and Zabelle turned to turn it off. It wasn’t even as if she slept a wink.
She couldn’t, as what she had read the previous night kept on replaying in her head, and the fact she had no way of contacting Jeremy made the situation worse.
Did he really not wait for her? Was the question she kept on asking herself.
There was no way her Jeremy would not wait for her, she tried to convince herself, but that photo she had seen of him with

Checking the clock, she saw that only two minutes had passed, and she groaned. Why was time so slow?
Zabelle wished she could move time faster to the party, but she couldn’t. To make matters worse, she didn’t even have a job to keep her mind preoccupied, all thanks to that asshole.
At the thought of Antonio, she sat up and grabbed her laptop as she wanted to know more about him. Before what had happened, she had no interest in any socialite as she considered them the same as her parents and with what went down the previous day, she wasn’t wrong.
It took less than two seconds for search results to bring up Antonio Garcia. There was nothing much about his personal life.
Although there were dating rumours as she saw pictures with multiple women, th accomplishments, and this made her roll her eyes.

Just as expected, she saw articles about him being a cold man who was cruel, and Zabelle hissed as she went through them one by one. ‘Jerk!‘ she muttered after she was done.
When she turned to look at the clock, she saw that two hours had gone by, and she hummed in shock. Who knew the idiot could be such a wonderful distraction?‘
Just at that instant, there was a knock on her door and she frowned as she never had visitors. That better not be her sister, Zabelle thought to herself as she headed out of bed and to the door.
Looking through the peephole, she found one of the workers in the building she usually saw, and so she opened the door. “Yes?”
“You can go,” she heard a familiar voice, and she prayed to just be hearing things. However, when he stepped out from where he had been, her eyes turned cold.
“I thought I made it clear that if I saw you again, I would report you for stalking, Mr Garcia,” Zabelle said to Antonio while wondering what he was doing there.
“Go right ahead,” Antonio urged her as he took a step forward, which made Zabelle take a step back as she didn’t want him in her personal space. The downside however was that he ended up inside her apartment.
“Get out!” she yelled as she rushed to her phone so she could call the cops.
“My family owns this building, so you’re more than free to do so Antonio responded as he sat on the couch and made himself comfortable.
“And I pay for this apartment which gives me a right to privacy, even against the owner,” Zabelle retorted.
“You’re more than welcome to try,” Antonio shrugged nonchalantly as he brought out an envelope and stretched it towards her.
“What’s this?” Zabelle questioned, refusing to take the envelope from him.
“Why not see for yourself?” Antonio responded, and she took the envelope from him. He then sat back and waited for her to take in the bomb he had just dropped on her.
Part of the information Martin had discovered was the fact that she stayed in one of their residential apartments and what better way to start the day than for him to take on the woman who had dared to hit him?
Are you fucking kidding me?!” Zabelle cursed after she was done reading what was in the envelope. It was a notice of Antonio suing her for assault, battery, and trespassing as well as an eviction notice. The nerve of this man!
The damages he was asking for were more than her whole year’s salary. Besides, he was the one at fault and not her.

“Does it look like I’m joking” Antonio asked calmly.
“You can’t do this…”
“Watch me,” Antonio interrupted Zabelle.
Antonio chuckled at that point as he looked at her. She was already swimming in debt. There was no way she would be able to afford a lawyer.
Plus even if she did manage to find a mediocre one, the name of his lawyer was
n enough to take care of them.
What the idiot standing in front of him didn’t know was that he had no intention of ung or evicting her as one, resorting to the law wasn’t his style, two, it was fun to watch her break slowly over the news, and three, he was curious to know if Jeremy would come after him for what he did to Zabelle.
It was killing two birds with one stone and he’d be damned if he didn’t kill the birds.-
“I’ll hire a lawyer and fight this,” she persisted, refusing to go down without a fight.
