Chapter 30
Zabelle was confused at what Antonio was playing at, but she couldn’t inquire as they were not alone, and so she just played along with it.
“F–fiancee?” It was Mr Dumong who first responded and he wiped the bead of sweat that was running down the side of his head
“Hmm,” Antonio responded as he took her hand and kissed it. Zabelle watched her how former boss shifted uneasily in his seat, and it would be a lie if she said she didn’t like it.
Even though he wasn’t as disgusting as Mr Duntong, she was still upset that he had fired her for what had happened when her track record at the company was great.
“She’ll be assisting me for the meeting.” Antonio told the men as his eyes rested on Mr Dumong. The more time went by, the more he came to a conclusion.
“Pardon me asking but when I fired her, was she already your fiancée? Zabelle’s ex–boss asked and Antonio nodded in affirmation which made her raise an eyebrow.
“However, Have to say it wasn’t very professional to send a contract that contained nothing but my photos,” he remarked.
Zabelle’s heart raced over his words which could only mean he anally believed that she had been framed by Mr Dumong.
Did that mean he would finally call off the wedding and free her? A small smile escaped from her lips over that possibility.
“Sir, I assure you that we had nothing to do with that as Zabelle must have acted on her own to get your attention,” Mr. Dumong was quick to respond.
“Does it make sense for someone I was already seeing to try to gain my attention?” Antonio tilted his head.
“Did you ever try to get my fiancée in your bed and didn’t you make her life at the office unbearable because she wouldn’t get into your bed?” he asked straight to the point.
“N–no, she’s lying, sir.” Mr. Dumong denied, and the other man turned to face him.
“Did you?” He asked the former as he didn’t want to offend Antonio and caused him to cancel the merger
“No, I didn’t,” Mr. Dumong persisted, refusing to admit the truth.
Zabelle on the other hand, chose to be quiet and to let Antonio handle it as if she opened her mouth to speak, she wouldn’t be cordial about it.
The next thing Antonio did shocked everyone in the room as he grabbed a pen that was in his pocket and drove it into the hand of Mr. Dumong which caused him to cry out in pain.
Zabelle’s hand flew to her mouth. She knew Antonio was cruel, but she didn’t know he would be afraid to show it in public, where he could get into trouble.
“Why?” Mr. Dumong yelled
I don’t like people lying to me,” Antonio yawned as he was bored with the entire meeting.
“You can’t just go around doing as you please. I’ll have you arrested!”
Antonio chuckled as he brought out his phone. “Please, by all means, do so but be prepared to go to jail yourself!” He said and as a video started playing on the screen which was one of Mr. Dumong sexually assaulting a woman against her will.

Chapter 20
“I have many more of that and all the women are willing to testify against you,” he stated.
“Sir, I’m sorry, I had no idea,” the boss tried to apologize, but Antonio was having none of it.
“My fiancée must have mentioned it to you, but you didn’t bother investigating, rather you fired her even though they were on my orders. Well, you can say goodbye to ever doing business with me.”
With that Antonio stood up and Zabelle stood alongside. “You have five minutes to get the hell out of my company,” he gave an ultimatum after which he rested his eyes on the man he had stabbed. “You’re more than welcome to file a complaint against me.
Seeing this was probably the first and the only opportunity she would have, Zabelle made her way to where Mr. Dumong was, and she slapped him with every ounce of strength she could gather.
“You’re disgusting and I hope you rot in hell!” She told him, and she made her way back to Antonio.
“Are you done?” He asked her and she nodded. They then made their way out of the conference room and back to his office.
“You finally believe me,” she remarked as soon as they were alone.
“Hmm.” Antonio hummed.
“Does that mean you won’t get married to me?” She inquired.
“What makes you think so?” Antonio tilted his head and Zabelle’s mouth fell open
You just said you believe me which means you know that I wasn’t trying to gain your attention that day so why are you still getting married to me?” She probed.
“In case you’ve forgotten, you assaulted me that day and no woman had ever done so!” Antonio pointed out.
“That was because you accused me falsely. Plus, you were in my personal space!” Zabelle cried out as she ran her fingers through her hair roughly. That was not my fault. You didn’t listen to me.”
“Still doesn’t change the fact that it happened,” Antonio shrugged casually.
“You’re a fucking asshole! Zabelle flared up in anger and soon as the words were out of her mouth, she realized what she had just done.
“Do you really want me to show just how big of an asshole I can be?” He raised an eyebrow and she shook her head.
“Then I suggest you think before you speak,” he warned her. “Now go sit over there!
Zabelle immediately headed back to the sofa, and she sat quietly on it. Antonio didn’t have to try so hard to be scary, as he was a natural. She tactically avoided his eyes till he went to sit back at his desk.
Silence descended into the room again and Zabelle had time for her thoughts, which took her back to what had happened a few minutes ago in the conference room.
Antonio didn’t even flinch when he stabbed Mr. Dumong. The sight of it made her nauseous, but he looked bored with the whole situation. Just how many people had he killed to be so nonchalant about the entire situation?
The fact that he had evidence against Mr. Dumong told her that he had already investigated him, which meant that he knew she was already innocent before the present day.
Yet, he still wanted to go ahead with the wedding because she jerked him where it would hurt the most.
What he was conveniently overlooking was the fact that if he hadn’t gotten into her personal space, she wouldn’t have attacked him.

Chapter 301
He was truly an asshole–she muttered inwardly as she discreetly stared at him.
She was broken out of her thoughts when her phone vibrated and when she checked it, she saw that she had received ant email from her father.
Wondering why he hadn’t texted her normally, she remembered that she was using a new number after losing her other phone.
“Come home for dinner tonight,” those were the simple words of her father and her heart dipped as she knew that it had to do with her and Antonio’s engagement.
As much as she wanted to ignore it, curiosity got the better of her as she wanted to see if he would finally be proud of her. However, she couldn’t attend the dinner without Antonio’s permission, and so she looked at him. “Antonio,” she called, distracting him, and his eyes met hers while giving her a look that told her to go on
“My father wants me home for dinner tonight,” she told him:
“Okay?” He raised an eyebrow, wondering what she wanted.
“Can I go?” She made her request clear.
“I’ll think about it,” was all Antonio said before returning to his word.
Even though that wasn’t what she wanted to hear, it was still better than him outrightly refusing her request, and so she took what he had gotten.
The door suddenly opened and when Zabelle looked at it, she saw that it was Alejandro.
“A little birdie told me you were around.” he remarked as he walked into the room.
“It’s good to see you too, Alejandro,” Zabelle smiled happily at the change in the atmosphere.
“Is he boring you?” Alejandro asked and Zabelle curtly nodded as she didn’t want Antonio to see her.
“Come, let me give you a tour of the whole company, Alejandro offered and Zabelle’s eyes darted to Antonio who was still immersed in the file.
Feeling their eyes on him, he waved, dismissing them and Zabelle jumped off the sofa so she could leave the gloomy office as she was sure any where was better than there.
