Chapter 39
Zabelle glared at the man, but she didn’t say anything in response to his words. She wondered if Antonio already knew of her being taken.
He had to have known as Alicia would have told him. Was he looking for her or would her kidnapping finally make him get over his revenge plan on her? She wondered
And how long had she been gone? It was hard to tell, as where she was, was dimly lit. She started to look around to see if there was anything she could use to cut the ropes, but she found nothing
Even if she did, she wouldn’t be able to use it as the man didn’t look like he had any intention of leaving the room.
Taking a deep breath, she sank back into the chair and went straight to her thoughts. Her life had been peaceful for a long time until the past month and a half.
Frowning, she realized that she still didn’t know what had happened to those two men from the night of Jeremy’s party. another incident like that going to happen again?

he was a nobody and barely had any enemies, so who would do this to her? It couldn’t possibly be her family, as she didn’t think they would take it this far, and it couldn’t be Jeremy, especially with what he had said to her.
Antonio was also out of the question as he had made it clear of what he wanted to do to her. So who was it?
Or had she been kidnapped for ransom? That seemed like an accurate reason. She was now associated with one of the richest families in the world, so there was a high chance, they would want to prey on that.
Zabelle broke out of her thoughts when the door to the room where she was staying opened and another man came rushing
ini.
“We have a problem, he’s here!” The man said frantically and Zabelle wondered who was there. Was it Antonio? She asked herself as her heartbeat increased with excitement.
“Antonio Garcia is here, we have to get out of here!” The man replied, and a smile appeared on Zabelle’s face.
He had found her. Even if it was for his own selfish interests, Antonio had looked for her.
“We can’t leave without her? We’ll get into trouble,” the man who had been in the room said.
However, his partner didn’t pay any attention to him as he reached out and dragged him out of the room leaving her all alone.
Zabelle heaved a sigh of relief, and she immediately resumed her struggling once more.
“Antonio, I’m in here,” she yelled in the hopes that he would hear her. “Antonio, over here!”
About three minutes passed before the door opened once more, and she came face to face with her fiancé,
Never had she been so happy to see him, and she didn’t bother to hide it. “Why are you always getting into trouble?” Antonio shook his head as he walked into the room and began to untie her.
She found it funny how he didn’t want to save her the first time and how he had come to save her the second time.
“It’s not my fault. I was doing nothing but checking out dresses with your mother,” she immediately absolved herself of any guilt.
“Still doesn’t change the fact that you cause trouble wherever you go, Antonio stated as he finished removing the ropes from her left hand. He heard her hiss in pain and his eyes darkened when he saw the marks on her wrist which indicated just

how tightly the ropes had been tied.
“It’s still not my fault,” Zabelle persisted.
“Your name should be trouble and not Zabelle,” Antonio remarked as he loosened the rope on her other hand.
Zabelle opened her mouth to speak when she noticed the blood splatter on Antonio’s shirt. He was wearing a white shirt so she was certain it was blood.
Getting up, she took a closer look at them after which she frowned. “Why do you have blood stains on your shirt?” She questioned.
“Because I killed a few assholes who thought it was okay to kidnap you,” Antonio responded as he stretched his hand towards her to which she took immediately.
“You’re kidding right?” Zabelle squinted her eyes at him as they started to make it out of the room.
“Hasn’t it been established that I don’t joke?”
True to his word, when they got outside, she found three dead bodies lying on the ground beside each other. The sun was already setting, but those three bodies were as clear as daylight.
Her eyes widened in horror as she turned to look at Antonio who didn’t have a look of remorse at having killed three people.
It made her fear increase about him killing Meredith if she didn’t do what he wanted as even though she knew he wasn’t joking, this just cleared whatever doubts she had about him not being serious.
When they got to his car, she saw his father on the other side, and on the floor in front of William was a fourth man kneeling on the ground.
Before she could say anything to William, he raised his hand and shot the man in the middle of his forehead.
As soon as the other men fell, she saw some guards step forward and move the dead man’s body to where the rest of the bodies were.
Zabelle’s hands immediately flew to cover her mouth, so no screams would come out.
There was really no messing with the Garcia family. “Are you okay?” William turned to ask her, and she nodded, unable to say a word.
“Then let’s get out of here!” William said and Antonio reached out and opened the door for her after which she immediately got in.
As soon as everyone had gotten into the car, a man she had never seen before entered the driver’s seat and started the car.
It had been a very tiring day and now that she felt safe once more, the tiredness kicked in, and she found her eyes getting heavy. She didn’t even try to fight it as she closed her eyes and gave in to the sleep.

Antonio turned to look at the woman who was her head resting against the chair. They were currently in the backseat of his car while his dad was in front.
He wondered why the old man didn’t just ride in one of the other cars that had arrived, but he pushed that thought to the back of his mind, as that wasn’t important.
His eyes went down to her wrists, and the bruises had darkened considerably. The urge to touch them hit him, but he didn’t as he didn’t want to wake her up
Other than the bruising, there didn’t seem to be any other injury on her. The goons hadn’t touched her, and it made him leave a sigh of relief.

Why did the fool like to come to him despite him telling her he was no angel?
