Chapter 49
Without wasting time, he headed to his car so he could go see the asshole who was refusing to let Zabelle be even after tossing her out like trash.
He was the first to arrive at the location, and he used the free time to check up on Martin and the task he had assigned him to do
About fifteen minutes after he had arrived at the place, he saw another car approaching and when it stopped, Jeremy stepped out of his car and so did he
“Where is Vanessa?” Jeremy got straight down to business.
“Right where she is supposed to be, in my captivity,” Antonio responded and a frown appeared on Jeremy’s face as he went to see if Vanessa was in Antonio’s car, but she was not, just as he had said.
“Do you really think now’s the time to be playing games with me, especially when I have the power to destroy Zabelle and whatever ounce of self–respect she has?” Jeremy hissed in annoyance over the fact that he had driven down there for nothing
“You know, for someone who claims to be smart, you’re pretty dumb,” Antonio remarked in a bored tone, and he watched Jeremy turn red in anger.
“You’re threatening me with my woman’s nudes when I have Vanessa in my captivity. If you so much as release Zabelle’s nudes, I’ll release Vanessa’s, Antonio told Jeremy. “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth!”
If Jeremy was going to humiliate Zabelle, then he would make sure Vanessa was humiliated as well, and that was one aspect of his plan.
“Do you think I care about Vanessa? Release her nudes for all I care, I’ll just leave her, Will you leave Zabelle?” Jeremy retorted.
“No, not in a million years,” Antonio answered without giving the question too much thought, and it would be a lie if he said the answer did shock him as well.
“But I thought you might say that about Vanessa, since you’re incapable of loving anyone else, but will you say the same thing about your mother?” Antonio grinned.
Jeremy immediately moved to attack him. The next thing he however saw was himself on the ground and Antonio hovering over him.
“One would have thought you would have learnt not to attack me by now,” he shook his head and Jeremy got back on his

“Your mom is on a trip out of the state, call her and see if she answers,” Antonio urged Jeremy.
“Are you crazy, you kidnapped my mother!” Jeremy yelled in anger.
“If you release anything about my woman, your mother plus Vanessa will suffer. I can already imagine what will be said,” Antonio clicked his tongue.
“Still want to release Zabelle’s nudes?” He raised an eyebrow when Jeremy didn’t say anything, he smiled in satisfaction,

“I didn’t think so,” he remarked. “I wonder if you’ll tell your father that his wife is missing due to your action,” he then mocked
“Both your mother and Vanessa will be returned to you after the wedding. Have a nice night,” he wished as he turned to go.
However, as he took one step, he changed his mind and he turned to deliver a punch to Jeremy which sent him to the ground.
“You’re the biggest scum of the earth for treating a woman who loved you like this,” he spat in disgust.
He was no angel, but he wasn’t pretending to be what he was not to Zabelle and neither was he crossing the limit by threatening to release her nudes.
“If you trouble her with such things, you’re going to regret it. You might play about Vanessa, but I don’t play with my woman and I never will
Turning, he headed back to his car and immediately drove off as he had a conversation to get back to. When he got back home, he was met by Martha, who had opened the door for him.
“Has she had her dinner and taken her medication?” He inquired, and Martha nodded in affirmation.
“She’s not in her room but on the balcony upstairs,” she informed Antonio, and he immediately headed there.
When he got there, he saw Zabelle quietly watching the stars. She turned when she heard footsteps approaching and upon seeing him, she turned back to what he had been looking at.
“Did you take care of the work?” She asked him.
“Hmm,” he muttered as he came to stand beside her. Why was he suddenly feeling a sense of protection to the same woman he was supposed to be destroying? He wondered as he didn’t like it, yet he couldn’t stop himself from feeling that way.
“Is it time to continue the conversation!”
“What exactly did you see in that asshole that made you fall in love with him?” He inquired.
“I was attention–starved, and he gave me the attention I craved, Zabelle sighed. Now that she looked back at the incident. she realized that it was Jeremy’s fault, and she had blamed herself for years.
What really did she see in him? She wondered as she compared him to Antonio. Antonio was supposed to be the bad guy. but Jeremy had proven to be the worst one.
It had been all about him in their relationship, but she wasn’t geding the same thing from Antonio, and they didn’t even have an actual relationship.
“I know you want to destroy me through the marriage, and you’re more than free to do so but don’t do it the way they did it,” she appealed to him.
“I’ve already been through a lot and I hope you grant my request, Antonio,” she said to him.
