The fact that she was sitting down and worrying about him meant that his plan was working, and she wasn’t going to give him that satisfaction.
With that resolve in mind, she got up and decided to finally get something to eat.
She wasn’t going to let her whole life be put on standstill because of a man who was so full of himself that he couldn’t see past his nose.
When morning came, however, Zabelle cursed in anger as she found herself unable to get sleep due to the fact that she was up all night worried about Antonio.
How the hell did she allow him to get into her head so much? She wondered as she sat up.
Having been through so many things in a short period of time, she worrying that the same had happened to Antonio.
The fact that her family and Jeremy were out to get him didn’t help matters.
Even though Antonio looked like he was more than capable of handling it, shouldn’t trust her family, and they were the ones that scared her.
But they were on his private island. It would be hard for her family to get to him, right? She asked herself.
When she had gone outside the mansion on the previous day, she had seen some guards patrolling the house, and she wondered whether she could inquire about Antonio’s whereabouts from them.
No, she shook her head. It wouldn’t be right for her to ask about her husband’s whereabouts from them. Even though she and Antonio weren’t in a normal marriage, it wasn’t right for others to know that fact.
Taking a deep breath, she got out of bed to take a bath and change her clothes.
When she was done, she added downstairs to the kitchen to prepare something for herself and Antonio in case he came back home.
Just as she was done setting the table, she heard the door to the living room open, and she immediately rushed today. The nervousness she has been feeling since the previous day melted away when she saw him standing in one piece in front of her.
“Antonio,” she called, but he didn’t pay any attention, and he walked past her and headed upstairs.
She felt a pain in her chest as she watched him walk away from her. Was he not worried about her?
Zabelle waited patiently for him to come back downstairs and when he did, she approached him. He had a file in his hand, so she assumed that was what he had come to get.
“Antonio, I made breakfast,” she told him in a bid to get him to stay.
The fact that she was in the huge mansion alone without anyone to talk to was killing her, and she found it stupid, as she had gone years without having a best friend and being all alone.
Antonio tilted his head before turning and heading towards the dining table. When he got there, he saw that she had set the table and different dishes were on it.
“You made this all by yourself?” He finally spoke and Zabelle nodded.
“Yes I did.” He was finally speaking to her again, she smiled slighty.

However, her smile vanished in the next instant as he grabbed one of the dishes and let it fall to the ground. The bowl immediately broke, and the contents spilled to the ground.
Not stopping there, he did the same to every other dish that was on the table, and her hands flew to her mouth in horror.
She couldn’t even bring herself to say anything to him until he was done.
“Be my guest and make some more dishes for me,” he smiled evilly before turning and leaving the mansion.
As soon as she heard the door close, Zabelle fell to the floor as she saw all of her hard work on the ground, and she didn’t know when tears started to drop from her eyes.
