Chapter 57
Antonio’s eyes fell on Zabelle who didn’t turn to look at him. Instead, she continued drinking and focused her attention on the dance floor.
It was as though she didn’t care that he was there. Was she really ignoring him? He clenched his fists in anger as he didn’t like
- it.
“Antonio Garcia?” The man said in horror as he stood up. “I’m sorry, I didn’t recognize her due to the club being dark,” he quickly apologized.
“Are you still here?” He sneered at the man, who was still there for some reason. The man didn’t need him to speak again as he rushed out of there.
“Get out,” he then said to the guards and the bartender who were there. As soon as they were gone, he took his seat beside Zabelle, and he turned to face her angrily.
Casually sipping her drink, she turned to face him with a bored expression on her face. “Good evening, Antonio,” she greeted with a smile on her face as she raised her drink to him.
So he could come and see her, she shook her head as she smiled. Just as established, Antonio was still a narcissistic bastard whose only reason for actually coming to see her was because of what she had done.
She wondered if it was because
of
the pictures or because of the fact that she had stopped sulking and had gotten out.
“Don’t patronize me, Zabelle,” Antonio hissed under his breath as he glared at his wife.
Fuck, she was even more beautiful in person! He thought to himself, and the thought of how many men had ogled her made his blood boil.
“Aren’t you supposed to be ignoring me?” Zabelle asked him.
“Yes, I am, but when you go around doing things like this, it becomes hard to ignore you,” Antonio retorted.
“That sounds like a you problem,” Zabelle slurred, and his frown deepened.
“Please don’t tell me you’re drunk,” he pleaded.
“I didn’t drink, the bartender gave me this delicious drink and I had a couple of drinks” she told him, and he grabbed the drink so he could see what it was as she was definitely drunk.
“Piña colada,” he growled when he tasted it. “Get up. I’m taking you back to the mansion,” he told her.
This was the first time she was getting drunk in front of him, but he already knew that she would have a low alcohol tolerance.
“No, I’m not going back there,” she shook her head as she reached out and tried to grab the glass from Antonio.
The drink was sweet, and she didn’t want to stop drinking it, even after having so many glasses.
“Zabelle, don’t test me, we’re going home so you can get some sleep!” he deadpanned, and she stood up in annoyance.
“Are you not listening to me? I’m not coming back,” she hissed before she turned and left.
Zabelle where are you…” he was unable to ask his question as she had bolted out of there. I’m going to kill you once I catch you, he swore as he got up and followed her.
Are you kidding me? Antonio palmed himself when he saw Zabelle on the dance floor

Due to who she was, she immediately got all the attention. If he stepped in and dragged her, it would cause a commotion, especially as he noticed some people were recording.
At least she could dance and wasn’t making a fool of herself. He, however, knew she was doing what she was doing because she was drunk and once she became sober and saw the attention she had received, she would regret it.
But how was he supposed to get her out of there when she didn’t want to go back home?
Embarrassing her was one option, but what would he do that wouldn’t be embarrassing to others but embarrassing to her? He asked himself. After all, she was his wife and he wasn’t going to ruin her reputation.
The answer came to his mind sooner than expected, and he sighed, and he wasn’t keen on doing it, but that was the only thing he could think of at that moment.
He slowly made his way over to the dance floor, and people cheered when they saw him making his way over to where she
was.
Was he slowly losing his scary persona, or did getting married reduce it?
“I’m not coming to you,” Zabelle mouthed to him, and she danced.
“Relax, I just want to dance with you,” he said as he grabbed her hand and twirled her into his arms. lips, and he saw her cheeks turn pink even though it was dark.
gasp escaped from her
Good, his plan was working. Zabelle immediately tried to back away, but he held her firmly before placing his lips on her.
He felt her freeze in his arms, and now was a good time to let go of her and get her out of there. However, he found himself unable to do so now that he had a taste of her lips once again.
Her lips were like a drug he couldn’t get enough of, and he wanted more. The flash from someone’s phone made him come back to his senses, and he let her go.
“Are you ready to go now?” He questioned her when the club busted out in loud cheers.
“Y–yes,” Zabelle nodded in a dazed state. Not wanting to give her time to come out of her dazed state and change her mind, he grabbed her hand and led her out of there.
At least, if there was one good thing that came out of the whole thing, it was the fact that multiple pictures would be flying around.
This meant that his mother would see them and stop asking questions such as why she hadn’t seen a photo of them together.
O
“W–why did y–you kiss me?” Zabelle finally snapped out of her dazed state just in time as she was already in the car.
“To get you out of there,” he responded, and her eyes widened in horror when she saw that she was already in his car She turned and quickly tried to open it, but it was locked centrally, and she cursed in annoyance as she sank back into the chair.
Antonio simply shook his head before he started the car and drove out of the club.
”
Jeremy was broken out of his concentration when his phone vilated, and it came on.
Curious to know what notification had entered, he picked up his phone, and a frown immediately appeared on his face

when he saw what it was.
It was a picture of Zabelle posted by another account. It seemed he had searched online for her so much that the algorithm had added her.
He did a double take when he viewed the picture, as Zabelle looked hot as hell, and he didn’t mean regular hot. Why wasn’t she ever this hot when she was with him? He asked himself as he zoomed in on the picture.
How did Vanessa consider herself the hotter sister? He raised his eyebrow. If she still did, the pictures were supposed to be good enough to make her come to reality.
‘I want you back, cupcake, he muttered to himself. When he scrolled down, he came across a video of her dancing and this time, he was able to see her full dress.
His mood however took a huge turn when he saw Antonio kissing her.
Shit! He cursed in anger as he regretted his decision of revealing to her that she had just been a bet. He needed to get her back, as she was too hot to let her go to Antonio.
‘You will be mine again, Zabelle,’ he swore.
Antonio watched his wife walk angrily into the house, and he followed her as he needed to ensure that she didn’t fall with the way she was swaying from left to right.
Why the hell did she have to drink when she couldn’t handle it? He rolled his eyes.
“Why are you following me?” Zabelle stopped to ask when they got to the foot of the stairs.
“I need to make sure you get to the room in one piece,” he stated, and she let out a string of inaudible curses as she her temples.
“Are you bipolar, Antonio?” He heard her ask him, and he frowned in confusion.
“Huh?”
massaged
“Let me get this straight, you hate me and this marriage is supposed to be a way for you to get revenge on me, and you chose ignoring me as your tool, but now you’re back and acting like I matter?” She laid out.
“And you somehow don’t think you have a problem?”
Antonio opened his mouth to speak, but she had once again rendered him speechless, as her logic was right.
“I’m doing this so you don’t embarrass me,” he managed to say after thinking, as he didn’t want her to be right.
“That was supposed to have ended the moment you got me into the car,” Zendaya, however, shut him down. “We’re alone, and you don’t have to pretend, but you know why you’re doing this?”
“There’s no reason…”
Zabelle however paid no attention to Antonio, and she moved closer to him. “Deep down, you know what you’re doing is cruel even by your own standards,” she stated bluntly.
“You know I wasn’t wrong that day, but you’re too egoistical to accept it and there’s a battle going on in you, which is why you
behave cold one second and care in the next instant.”
Zabelle paused to see if he would say anything in response to her but he didn’t, and she scoffed before she continued.

“Make up your mind and stop giving mixed signals,” with that she turned to climb the stairs, but she stopped after climbing the first one.
“You know Jeremy is better than you,” she remarked and that struck something in him as he didn’t appreciate being compared to that asshole.
“At least when he’s mean to me, he does it wholeheartedly without mincing words, same as my family.” Those were her last words to him before she headed up to her room.
