Antonio understood where Zabelle was coming from and he nodded reluctantly. The fact that she had come to accept the truth was a good sign.
She reached out, placing a hand on him. “I promise you’ll get to have revenge just give me some time, she repeated. “Please.”
Antonio’s eyes searched hers for a moment, then he exhaled heavily. “Alright,” he said. “T’ll wait. For now but don’t let it take too long I’m itching for revenge.”

“What are you going to do today?” Antonio then asked her, and his question momentarily stunned Zabelle as it was unexpected.
“Watch TV and see if Nivera wants to hang out,” she however responded when she found her voice again.
“You and Nivera, huh?” Antonio lifted an eyebrow, and Zabelle’s face immediately fell as she assumed she had done something wrong.
“Do you not like her? Should I not hang out with her?” She asked in a serious tone, and Antonio flicked her forehead. “Silly!” He remarked as she hissed in annoyance. “Tm happy that you’re finally getting a friend,” he told her.
Zabelle calmed down upon hearing what Antonio said. It would have killed her if he had said he didn’t want her hanging out with Nivera as she was most likely the only friend she would ever make.
“I’m happy too,” she said with a smile on her face, and her face was contagious as it made Antonio smile as well.
“You have your card, right?” He asked and she nodded.
“Good,” he remarked. “By the way you should spend some more money, there’s a spending minimum on that card, and you’re not helping me with it,” he said as he turned to leave.
“Wait really?” Zabelle asked him, and he nodded as he grabbed his phone.
“Just how much is on the card right now?” She inquired.
“I don’t know, but it’s a lot. The other day, you went to the boutique and didn’t get anything even though you wanted to…”
“How did you know that?” Zabelle asked.
“The store is one of my family’s outlets,” Antonio answered.
“Just how rich is your family?” Zabelle couldn’t help but ask, even though it was something she had asked in the past.
“A couple of hundred billions,” Antonio remarked, and the answer was unsurprising to Zabelle as she already knew that.
“It must feel so good to be rich.
“You should know as well, you’re rich, after all,” Antonio told hers he left the room.
Zabelle didn’t waste any time in following him, as for some inexplicable reason she wanted to spend more time with hirn before he left for the office.

“I’m not rich, I’m married to a rich man,” she continued their conversation.
“You are,” Antonio argued.
“I’m not,” Zabelle retorted.
“Didn’t you read the documents you signed before our wedding Antonio reminded her.

Zabelle remembered Antonio’s lawyer coming over and asking her to sign some documents, but she didn’t bother to read them, as there was no point in doing so.
If she did, and she found something she didn’t agree to, Antonio would still make her sign it regardless, and she would be left upset.
“No, I didn’t because I was too engrossed trying to formulate an escape plan,” she told him.
“How cute and did you come up with one, Antonio rolled his eyes as they began to descend the tears.
The subject wasn’t a touchy one for either of them anymore as Zabelle had come to terms that Antonio was now her husband, and he had dropped his revenge plan.
“The documents were from both me and my parents. They gave you shares of the family company and I transferred some of my shares to you as well,” he told her, and Zabelle’s mouth dropped wide open.
“Also, as the daughter–in–law, they transferred two hundred million and fifty million dollars with at least five million to be deposited into your account each month from them,” he paused before continuing.
“And that’s minus the assets and money you also received from me and them. How didn’t you know?” He asked as though it was the most obvious thing in the world.
“Because you didn’t tell me,” Zabelle rasped as she stood frozen in her spot.
“That’s not on me, you should have read the documents. First rule of business, always read everything before signing.” Antonio shrugged casually.
“Okay I can understand why your parents would do so but you? doesn’t make sense,” she said to him.

They both understood what she was trying to say. Antonio hated her at that point in time, and so it didn’t make sense for him to give her out of his shares and assets.
“You were going to be my wife. Hatred or not, I had to give you out of what I owned,” Antonio said.
“And you weren’t afraid I was a gold digger,” Zabelle rolled her eyes.
“You cried when I told you that we were getting married, others would have jumped and be happy at the opportunity. It was obvious you weren’t one,” Antonio asserted just as they reached the end of the stairs.
“So I’m rich. Zabelle said.
“Yes, you are,” Antonio affirmed. “That’s why you were given all those cards. Don’t you check your phone? The bank app and everything is already in it,” he rolled his eyes.

“Always read what you have to sign,” he told her as he started to make his way to the exit.
“Aren’t you going to have breakfast?” Zabelle frowned.
“No, I’ll be late for a meeting. Don’t skip breakfast, or I’ll be upset he told her before leaving

“Yet you’re skipping breakfast,” Zabelle clicked her tongue as she headed back to her room so she could have her bath.
As soon as she was done, she headed downstairs and just as she got seated, she heard a familiar voice.
“Good, we’re just in time for breakfast,” Alicia remarked, and Zabelle’s eyes went bright..
“Mom, Dad, you’re here,” she said with glee as they walked into the room.
“You seem excited, William remarked as they took their seat at the table.
“Antonio just told me I’m rich because you all gave me shares and money,” Zabelle blurted out in excitement.
