Chapter 20
Antonio became distracted when he heard a knock on the door When he opened it, he found Martha, the head helper, standing outside the room.
“Pardon me for disturbing, sir, but should I set the table?” Martha asked him.
“Bring my food up to my room,” he instructed her, and she turned to leave.
“Did you give Zabelle something to eat?” he inquired. It wasn’t as though he cared, he just needed her to get better so he could get to making her life a living hell.
“Yes, I did, sir. The physiotherapist gave us a list of foods to give her,” Martha responded. “She has also taken her medication.”
“You can go,” he dismissed, and Martha bowed before leaving. The fact that she was already standing on her own in such a short period of time was good news, and he smiled evilly as he thought of all the wicked things he couldn’t wait to do to her.
Meanwhile, while Antonio was on cloud nine, the same couldn’t be said for Zabelle who was in a terrible mood. Just as expected, Antonio didn’t open the door, and she had gotten tired of knocking.
She was back on the bed, trying to formulate an escape plan. What she had tried to avoid in the beginning was now happening.
Antonio had been added to the list of powerful people who hated her, and she cursed Mr Dumong for the predicament she was in as if he hadn’t sent her to meet Antonio that day, things would have been different.
‘His parents!‘ she muttered to herself. Antonio’s parents seemed nice, especially his mother, and so there was a high possibility that if she explained the situation to his parents, they would call their son to order.
It was settled, all she had to do was wait for Alicia to return so she could carry out her plan. She was sure the woman would return as she had tried to talk to her once more, but the physiotherapist was busy with her and Alicia had promised to come back.
With that plan in mind, she felt a lot more at ease, and so she laid in bed. Her thoughts then went to Jeremy, and she wondered what he was doing.
She had been gone for one month, and she wondered if he or any of her other family members noticed.
Speaking of herself, she wondered what happened to the two men who had attacked her that night.
Did the one she stabbed die, or did he survive. Even though those two assholes deserved death, she hoped he didn’t die, as she didn’t want to be a murderer.
She yawned as she felt her eyes becoming heavy. It seemed the medication she took was finally working, and so she turned off the lights so she could get sleep.
Now that she had thought of a solution, she noticed how comfortable the king–sized bed was. Yawning once more, she closed her eyes and gradually gave in to sleep. It took her barely three minutes to fall asleep.
However, not long after, she could feel herself being watched, and she frowned as it wasn’t a feeling she could shake off which affected her ability to get back to sleep.
“Ah!” she shrieked in horror when she opened her eyes and found Antonio seated and watching her.
She clutched her chest to get her heart to stop pounding, and she ran her finger through her hair roughly as she glared at the man who was sitting calmly.

Chapter 201
“What the hell is wrong with you?” She lashed out in anger as she turned to check the time. Contrary to what she had thought, she hadn’t been asleep for a few minutes, as it was already the next morning.
“Go take a bath and get dressed, we’re going out,” Antonio informed Zabelle.
“Number one, I have no clothes to wear and number two, I’m not going anywhere with you,” she told him.
“You have twenty minutes,” Antonio said as he threw some clothes at her.
“Are you deaf, I said I’m not going out with… Ah,” Zabelle shrieked in horror for the second time when the jug of water which was on her bedside stand exploded thanks to Antonio shooting it.
Where the hell did that gun come from?! She exclaimed in her head.
“That was a warning shot, the next shot won’t be,” Antonio threatened as he corked the gun, which made Zabelle gulp in fear.
“Nineteen minutes and forty seconds,” he informed her, and Zabelle didn’t need to be told twice as she got out of bed and headed into the bathroom. It seemed the adrenaline rush got to her, seeing as she didn’t even trip while walking.
She wasn’t ready to die, as she hadn’t gotten her revenge yet. Plus, even if she was going to die, she didn’t want it to be at the hands of Antonio.
As soon as she was in the bathroom, she locked the door and barely a few seconds later, there was a tap on the door which made her gasp.
“If I come back into the room at the end of the nineteen minutes remaining, and you’re not ready, I’ll drag you out in whatever you are in,” he said to her, after which she heard him walk away.
Just what had she gotten into, she asked herself as she stared at the door. She knew Antonio was serious about it, and it felt like he knew she was planning on locking herself up in the bathroom.
Sighing as her plan had been foiled, she proceeded to have her bath as she didn’t want to be unprepared for when Antonio would return.
Just as he has said, he came back after nineteen minutes and thankfully she was already ready.
He had surprisingly given her a dress this time and at first, she thought it was borrowed until she saw the tag on it.
Her hair was back to her signature ponytail, and she wondered if it was time to cut it, as it had grown even longer during the one month she was in a coma.
Antonio’s footsteps broke her out of her thoughts and she returned to reality. “Let’s go,” he said to her, and she stood up to follow him.
At least, if there was one good thing about the whole incident, it was the fact that her legs had improved and even though she still lost her balance here and there, she was able to walk.
She followed him all the way outside the mansion, where a car was already waiting for them. “Get in,” he ordered after opening the front door for her.
