The moment she saw the surveillance footage, Violet, who had been calm just a second before, visibly panicked when she noticed I had scrolled to the date she had fallen yesterday.
She lunged to snatch my phone but missed.

She kept a calm facade.

I gently but firmly pressed on her shoulder with a small laugh.
