Violet’s lips trembled, and her knees went weak, leaving her collapsed on the ground.
“Brother Vucevic, I just love you too much. I wanted to be with you, and in a moment of confusion, I came up with this plan.”
“In a moment of confusion, you endangered my child?”
I patted her cheek. If I could, I’d wish her straight to hell.
“So it was her who hired the thugs. I knew something was off when they risked coming back after escaping” everyone heard Violet’s careless admission.

“The kidnapping was orchestrated by you, the person behind the death of my and Ariel’s child, along with those thugs.”
Violet was like a frightened bird, crawling towards Alpha Vucevic, shaking her head frantically.
“No, I didn’t mean it, I was angry, I didn’t do it.”
Alpha Vucevic kicked her hand away, his gaze icy.
“You said it yourself, no one forced you! I trusted you so much; to care for you, I’ve been neglecting Ariel. Yet, you turned me into the most despicable man alive!”

It was the first time I heard him speak to Violet in such a tone.
Honestly, there wasn’t much satisfaction in my heart; on the contrary, everything felt calm.
But Violet evidently couldn’t accept it. She suddenly tilted her head back and laughed, her words full of arrogant defiance.
“One surveillance tape proves nothing. It’s possible I misspoke in anger. Without capturing anyone, you can’t prove my involvement in the kidnapping.”
She wasn’t entirely wrong–without concrete evidence, she could indeed get away with it.
But unfortunately for Violet, her hopes were about to be dashed.

“Why did you do this? You used to be so kind. How could you harm the person I love most?”
“The person you love most?!”
Violet was momentarily stunned, then erupted in a nearly hysterical outburst.
“The person you love most is me; don’t you remember? We were destined mates, and she stole everything that should have been mine. How can you love her?”
“But it was you who betrayed us first!” Alpha Vucevic retorted, gritting his teeth.

Violet’s shoulders twitched slightly, her eyes. darting before tears instantly flowed.
“Do you think I wanted to? I did it for you. I was terrified you’d lose your position as Alpha; that’s why I turned to Felix, hoping he’d support you. I’ve sacrificed so much for you, which you know very well. But in the end, you still became mates with another woman. Did you ever consider my feelings?”
“But is that truly the case?”
I interjected coldly, holding up her phone.
Thankfully, a nurse who had cared for me earlier had secretly helped retrieve Violet’s phone while she was recuperating.
I intended to search for evidence of Alpha Vucevic’s infidelity but stumbled upon her private diary instead.

In that moment, it seemed like he wanted to kill Violet, his eyes burning with a terrifying redness.
“It was all you. I must have been blind to have ever loved a woman like you!”
