Chapter 9
After taking over, the Pack thrived under my management, soon gaining a formidable reputation among several neighboring tribes. Their Alphas extended offers of friendship, hoping to establish long–term, cooperative relationships with me.
I welcomed every opportunity but was distracted by my constantly buzzing phone while signing contracts.
I glanced at the screen to see it was Alpha Alexander.
“Miss Leona, if you have urgent matters, feel free to attend to them,” the Blue Moon tribe’s Alpha said graciously.
Smiling, I added Alpha Alexander to my block

list and switched off the screen, “It’s nothing, just a spam call.”
Afterward, I put Alpha Alexander out of my mind, but he called again from a different number.
As soon as I picked up.
“Why is your number unreachable?” he demanded.
Holding the phone away, I replied indifferently, “I’m working. What do you need?”
Since our bond as mates began, I had ignored any of Alpha Alexander’s affairs unless absolutely necessary.

“Attending a function at Blazehowl Pack tonight, and you always picked out my suits and ties. I can’t find them. Could you come back…”
“I don’t have the time, and we’re divorced now. Don’t bother the former Luna with trivial matters like this,” I hung up on him.
Staring at my phone screen, I couldn’t help but chuckle.
Wasn’t he always claiming I contributed nothing to the household? Looks like he’s finding my worth now.
That night, Alpha Alexander’s meeting didn’t go well.
The host, a particularly meticulous Alpha, held high standards for details.

When Alpha Alexander showed up in an unpressed suit, the host’s expression darkened, not offering him even a courteous look.
How did I know this?
Because I was there too.
Alpha Alexander’s eyes widened when he spotted me.
“Leona…”
But before he could approach, a partner called me over.
Plenty of familiar faces attended this event.
With Alpha Alexander present, Aria was there as well.

“Leona, you’re like a haunting ghost, trailing Alexander all the way here. Is this because you can’t hold onto a man, so now you resort to stalking?” she taunted.
Her provocation didn’t affect me in the slightest.
Alpha Alexander wasn’t worth much; if she wanted him, I’d gladly hand him over.
Seeing I didn’t bite, Aria called for a Warrior.
“This woman doesn’t have an invitation. She’s crashing to freeload, get her out.“”
Her eyes gleamed with smug triumph.
The Warrior asked me for my invitation.
I shrugged; I didn’t have one because their

Alpha had directly brought me into the hall.
My wolf, Daisy, shrugged too, “She’ll pay for her rudeness soon enough!”
Aria, however, was overflowing with victorious joy, confident everything was in her grasp.
“What are you waiting for? Get her out!”
But then a voice boomed from afar.
“I dare anyone to try.”
Beside the host stood their leader, who gave me a reassuring nod.
Aria recognized the host, and her arrogance instantly vanished, her demeanor shrinking significantly.

“She snuck in…”
“Shut up! Who are you to speak that way about Alpha Leona?”
I chuckled at Aria’s foolishness; did she really think I was just a pretty face?
Before I married Alpha Alexander, I carved out a territory on my own. Even without his influence, I could stand firm.
Aria’s face turned various shades of green and white as she tried to regain her footing.
“What Alpha Leona, she’s just a fraud. She’s fooled people with this cheap act before; can’t believe you all would fall for it!”
The host laughed in disbelief, “Not trust her? Then should we trust you?”

Aria fired back in frustration, “Why not trust me, I’m with Alpha Alexander now!”
“Really? Has Alpha Alexander declared you as his Second Chance Mate?” the host dismissed Aria entirely, not sparing her a second glance.
Aria’s face burned with humiliation.
