Chapter 9
In no time, the wedding was set to commence. Aunt Camelia hurried in, enveloping me in a warm embrace while slipping an elegant envelope into my hands. “I don’t know what was going on, but the taxi kept acting up today; it took me on countless detours to get here.”
I shrugged it off, attributing it to the driver’s attempts to sidestep traffic. I guided her to a seat to catch her breath and then took my place on the stage. Yet, as soon as I entered the venue, a wave of apprehension started creeping into my heart.

away with me today, I’ll do anything you want!” he implored anxiously.
His frantic pleas, mirroring the dreams I’d once cherished, stirred no emotions within me. Sensing my indifference, Alpha Logan stepped forward, shielding me from Alpha Simon‘ gaze.
Alpha Logan then coolly commanded the bodyguards to escort Alpha Simon out of the venue. Alpha Logan’s security detail was more adept; they swiftly removed him from sight.

After the ceremony concluded and I finished greeting our relatives, Alpha Logan gently reminded me to address the situation with Alpha Simon. With a nod, I lifted my wedding dress and walked out of the hotel, met by Alpha Logan’s calm and gracious demeanor.
Outside, I found Alpha Simon sitting desolate by the roadside, blood staining his face. Upon spotting me, he scrambled forward, dropping to his knees before me.
“Elena, hear me out! I was a fool before, but I see it now. Please, give me a chance to make things right!”
