“I will.”
Yvonne’s vanity was fully satisfied at this moment.
She even had the mood to give an acceptance speech” to the bride separated by a large door, basically saying she knew I really liked Derek, but Derek loved her the most, and she hoped I would give them my blessing.
In the video, Derek was wearing a pair of sneakers that clashed horribly with his formal sult. Yvonne could barely contain the smugness in her expression as she held the microphone.
Yvonne was probably eager to see my devastated reaction. She had even prepared comforting words in her mind:
“I hope Miss Wood can give her blessing to this beautiful love story between me and Derek.”

“Miss Wood?”
The atmosphere suddenly became extremely awkward at this point.
After all, the person being humiliated wasn’t there, so this triumphant scene just became a clownish farce.
“Miss Wood?”
“Miss Wood?”
Yvonne called out several times with no response, until the etiquette officer opened the large doors. Behind them was an empty space, with only the carelessly discarded white veil symbolizing the bride’s unknown whereabouts.
The crowd suddenly became noisy, and someone shouted:
“Holy crap, did the bride run away from the wedding too?”

In the quiet waiting lounge, I suddenly burst out laughing.
Of course I would give my blessing. After all, some of the guests down there were people I knew. It would be rude of me to stand them up by running away from the wedding, so I might as well treat them to a free comedy show.
I couldn’t help but shake my head and laugh at the sight. Just then, a segment of text and images suddenly appeared on the big screen, with the words “Wedding Escape Declaration” written in bold red font:
“Due to Derek White’s affair with the mistress Yvonne You, I have decided to run away from this wedding. I wish farce. I hope you stay locked up together and don’t come out to harm others in the future.”
Below were thoughtfully attached recent intimate photos of Derek and Yvonne.
Buzz. Tessa sent me a message:
“Mission accomplished!”
you both the best with this
Seeing this message, I also posted the same announcement on Instagram. This would be the last post on this account.
The people at the scene immediately exploded into chaos. Now who had time to laugh at me?
The bigger joke was standing hand in hand on the stage, wasn’t it?
With the bride gone, who would care if Derek and Yvonne ran or not?
Yvonne had just poured out her love on stage, talking to herself. Against the bright red “CHEATING” on the big screen, it looked especially ridiculous.
What beautiful love story? It was just a cover–up for cheating and having an affair.
Tessa was having a field day with the gossip. In less than two minutes, she sent me another video clip.
In the video, no one paid attention to the two idiots standing dumbfounded on stage. The crowd was in chaos looking for traces of me:
“Where’s Aria?”
“Where did Miss Wood go?”
“We can’t reach the bride by phone! Where should we look?”
“Have you checked the rest room? The changing room, the rooms on the top floor – check everywhere! What are you all standing around for? Get moving!”
