Chapter 6
William’s bodyguard dropped me off at home, then left.
Half an hour after the car was gone, I packed my suitcase and left the villa I had been staying in.
The moment the plane took off, I knew it was
over.
As the mafia gang inner meeting concluded, William finally exhaled a breath.
But there was an unsettling anxiety gnawing at him, an unease that refused to be quieted.
“I don’t love him anymore.
Once the meeting ended, he returned to his

car, the first thing he did was text me: “I’ll make it up to you! Tell me what you want, and if I can make it happen, I’ll do it!”
But I didn’t respond.
For the next few days, he focused on preparations for his wedding with Sura, while I had already boarded a plane to an unfamiliar place.
The wedding preparations went smoothly, but William couldn’t shake the weight in his chest. As he gazed at the custom wedding dress Sura had chosen, a strange sense of irritation swelled inside him. He remembered a promise he had made–one he had never fulfilled.
He sent me another message: “My wedding with Sura is just for show. When we remarry, I’ll give you the most extravagant ceremony.

You can ask for anything. Anything at all.”
He waited, hoping for a response, but none
came.
Frustrated, he dialed my number. The phone rang. Then it rang again. And again. Finally, he snapped.
“Lucy, why aren’t you picking up? Do you think my messages aren’t worth replying to? Do you think you can just ignore me now?” His voice was a low growl, fury bubbling to the surface.
Still, there was silence on the other end.
He slammed his fist against the phone, hung up, and immediately dialed another number.
“Have someone keep an eye on Lucy. I want every move she makes reported. Nothing

gets missed.”
His anger was bubbling, but before he could dive further into it, Sura arrived, wedding dress in tow. “William, the ceremony is about to begin!”
The wedding march began to play, filling the grand hall, and the officiant’s voice rang out “Please welcome the bride and groom!”
William’s gaze, however, was still locked on his phone.
Sura, ever the opportunist, took his arm, and they walked down the aisle together. But as they approached the altar, the music suddenly stopped, replaced by an unfamiliar, discordant sound.
The guests froze, glancing up at the large
screen.

A video of Sura and another man, in compromising positions, played across the
screen.
The man’s face was blurred, but Sura’s–her every expression, every movement–was crystal clear.
William’s face drained of color, before his rage exploded. “Shut it off! Turn it off now!”
The murmurs of shock filled the room, the screen continuing to show the compromising footage for what seemed like
an eternity.
When it finally cut off, the damage had already been done.
William’s fists clenched, veins bulging on his forehead, while Sura stood frozen, pale and

This wassnittthe time to panic. She had to to deny it,convince everyone that it wasn’t herer. She neededtosshift the blame.
Her mind raced. The only person who could id take the faillforrtthis was Lucy.
Sura collapsed, famting contthe spot. The wedding was over before it even began.
William rushed hertottierest area, where a doctor immediately began checking her over.

But Sura’s heart dropped. She knew the truth: the video didn’t matter to William. Hiss lack of reaction to it only confirmed it. He didn’t love her. He didn’t care what she had done. He didn’t love her, not like he loved Lucy.
She turned to him, her eyes brimming with tears. “William, someone’s trying to frame me! They’ve made a fake video to ruin me! Please, believe me–I didn’t do this!”
“I know you couldn’t do something so disgraceful. Someone must be setting you up. Who do you think would do this?”
Sura wiped her tears. “I haven’t offended anyone… except Lucy. She’s the only one who might be angry about our marriage.”
His mind immediately flashed to the last

“Sura’s video is all over the web. It’s on adult sites everywhere…”
“What?!” William’s face twisted in disbelief before fury overtook him. “Damn it! Lucy- this is your doing, isn’t it?”
“No, sir! It’s not Lucy! It’s… Sura’s boyfriend. He’s a gambler. He sold the videos.”
The door slammed open again, this time with a voice on the other end: “The entire gang’s been wiped out.”
