“What’s with the tears? If you’ve got the guts, call Dexter and have him come pick you up. That would show some real courage. But if not, just stay here and keep quiet”
I waved one of my bodyguards over. “Hey, keep an eye on her. If she comes anywhere near us, take her straight to the security office and tell them she was caught stealing.“
“Wha–7” Rhea stared at me, her eyes wide with shock, and her face twisted in anger.
I let out a cold snort, released her hand, and tumed to walk away. Dealing with someone like her was no trouble at all.
If it weren’t for Juno, I wouldn’t have bothered dragging her out here. I would’ve dealt with her right there in the restaurant, even slapping her if necessary.
Back at the table, I wiped my hands and didn’t even spare Dexter a glance as I spoke, “Next time you go out, make sure you take care of your little shadow. I don’t want to be distracted from enjoying a day with my son because of someone else’s druma.”
Dexter froze. He quickly pulled out his phone, and within moments, his face turned pale. It was clear Rhea had been bombarding him with messages.
“I’m sorry. It won’t happen again,” he said.
I nodded, then turned my attention back to Juno, carrying on with our pleasant meal.
Afterward, Juno had fallen asleep on Dexter’s lap. 1 covered him with the blanket I’d brought and gently patted his back.
