I sat beside Killian on the fourth day, praying for him to wake up today

#frowned, turning my head toward it. I expected a nurse or Enzo, but instead, my blood ran cold.
She stood there in a white nurse’s uniform, with a hysterical look in her eyes, and a crazed smile. A shiver ran down my spine

My body tensed She stepped into the room, with a silent gun in her hand.
My heart pounded in my chest. “What the hell are you doing here?“!
April tilted her head, glancing at Killian. “I’m here to finish what I started. I’m here to kill you, dear sister.” She replied with a maniac grin on her face.
My breath hitched. She was here to kill me.
My mind raced as I tried to think of what to do. If I screamed, she would kill me. With the gun in her hand, she would kill me, and no one would hear it.
However, before I could react, another figure stepped into the room. It was Richard.
My stomach dropped as I saw him with another silent gun in his hand, pointed at Killian.X
“April,” Richard demanded. “Put the gun down.“X

April snarled with annoyance on her face. “Don’t tell me you’re still hung up on her.”
Richard’s jaw clenched. “She’s mine, April“}
April scoffed. “You’re pathetic.” She sneered, “You’re here to kill my husband, and you want me not to kill June. How hypocritical of you.” She sneered.
Richard’s finger twitched over the trigger “It’s all his fault.” He spat venomously.!!
My breath hitched.8
“You don’t get to decide what happens to June, April,” Richard hissed. I do.”
“Oh, so you get to kill Killian?” April taunted, “And I’m just supposed to stand here and let you?“!
“Yes.”
April’s lip curled. “No, I don’t think so.”
Before I could blink
BANG.
The gunshot echoed through the room.
For a moment, I didn’t know who had fired &
Richard staggered back with blood seeping through his chest.
April gasped, her eyes widening as she looked down at herself

I barely had time to process what had happened when I heard a weak chuckle from the hospital bed behind me.
“Wow,” Killian croaked weakly, but with amusement in his voice. “That was unexpected ”
My breath caught in my throat. I tumed so fast I almost fell. My eyes widened as I turned to him. His tired eyes were open, and he was smiling brightly.
“Killian,” I breathed, and relief flooded through me. I quickly held his hand tightly to make sure he was really awake!!
“You’re awake.” I murmured softly, tears welling up in my eyes.!
He nodded slowly.
He glanced at the two bodies on the floor. April was gasping for air, and her body shook. Richard’s breathing was getting weaker.
Killian turned back to me, raising a brow. “Should we call for help?”
I looked at Richard, then at April. Her eyes met mine for a second. They were filled with pain, hatred, and envy.
Richard, on the other hand, was gasping. His hand reached weakly towards me, like he expected me to save him.
I turned back to Killian. He was watching me carefully, waiting for my answer.
I took a deep breath. “Do you want to call for help?” I asked ||
Killian squinted his eyes at me for a moment. “Do you?”
I hesitated. Then, slowly, I shook my head &
Killian smirked in approval “Good girl”
And just like that, we sat there in silence, watching as Richard and April took their last breaths!
A few minutes later, the door burst open, and Enzo rushed in with guards.
He glanced around the room with high alert. He glanced from Killian to me, then to the blood around Richard and April. His hand reached for his gun before he realized that the threats were already dead
“What the hell happened?” he asked, sounding confused as he approached us.
Killian sighed, still sounding tired. “Let’s just say they handled each other for us.”
Enzo whistled, shaking his head. “Damn.“X
I barely heard them. My focus was on Killian. He was awake. He was here. Now that the danger had passed. Tears welled up in my eyes again. Tears of relief.X

“You scared the hell out of me.” I whispered, my voice shaking, “Four days, Killian. Four started sobbing.
Killian’s smile faded, and he lifted his hand slowly, and cupped my cheek. His thumb brushed away my tears gently.
“Hey,” he murmured. “I’m here.”
I let out a shaky breath. “Oh, I was so—“}
He cut me off with a kiss.
“I love you,” I whispered against his lips.
Killian released a deep sigh of relief as he rested his forehead against mine. “I love you too, mi amore. Always.”
Enzo cleared his throat loudly. “So should I just leave? Or do you guys want me to get a priest here?”
I laughed heartily, finally feeling free for the first time in a long time X
Killian snorted in amusement “Just get someone to clean up this mess,” he muttered
Enzo nodded. “Yes boss.” He turned to the guards. “You heard him. Get nd of the bodies.”
As the guards moved to remove the bodies, I didn’t look. I didn’t care.
All that mattered was that Killian was awake. And he loved me
